I don't think a beginner could ever ask for better videos! I feel like you at the only channel who can explain concepts like this in a way that I can actually understand properly. The high production quality also helps a ton to make the videos very enjoyable to watch!

Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 We're happy to hear that the videos are helping you understand Go better.

Love all the different voices you have on this channel. Would love to see more of u, especially in a more casual context- what if you played online games together over voice chat and put them up on a side channel? I would watch.

Very good subject. I find development, reduction and invasion the most important and difficult skills in go. Strategy in general. Look forward to next videos about these subjects on your channel.

I sometimes shed my tail so often that I have way too little points!!! 😁 Very good video. Keep up the good work.

Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words! Shedding tails takes practice. Keep playing (and reviewing your games), and those points will start adding up in no time. 👍

Hi! i’m not sure you’ll end up seeing this, but where did you get that Go set? I need a new one and that one looks great.
@GoMagic2 ай бұрын
Sorry, we can't help you much with that. Vadim’s Go set features Jang Stone II (Shin Kwang Baduk Korean glass stones). As for the board, it's a bit of a mystery-even Vadim can’t recall exactly where he purchased it, only that it was from a small shop in China.

Have you ever thought of making a video (or series) about the best way to teach a total beginner over the board? I feel many players end up doing a session or two with friends to see whether the game clicks with them. I am one of them and would love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks for the great suggestion! I added it to our list of ideas. 👍

I was introduced to Go by a Korean classmate in dental school and after graduation I stopped playing. Your videos have started my desire to play again. Thanks Vadim! Are there any sites that allow you to play against AI?
@GoMagic2 ай бұрын
We're glad that our videos have reignited your passion for Go! As for playing against AI, besides sites like OGS (Online Go Server), we’re actually working on providing that feature on our platform soon, so you’ll have even more options to practice and improve.

Can you explain why white would not be able to cut the double hane at 3:10? I think it would just be atari - connect - white ataris the black stone towards the side, effectively capturing it. I don't see how black would live with a 3-stone stick :O
@GoMagic2 ай бұрын
The main goal here is to reduce White's territory. While a cut is possible, Black can instead play at Q9 to force the capture of the stone and then escape. This move not only reduces White's area but also leaves behind some aji, which could be useful later on.

Watching on KZbin, pop up ads cover the corners of the board starting at 7:30 on an 11 minute video, very frustrating to not see the board! How can I stop the pop ups?
@GoMagic9 күн бұрын
Hey! Unfortunately, those ads are managed by KZbin, and we don’t have control over when or where they appear. You can try using an ad blocker if you're watching on a computer, or consider KZbin Premium, which removes ads entirely.
