When you say "territory vs influence" I have no idea what you mean by influence.

Could you do a stream playing 9x9 and show us in real time why you are playing certain moves with the advice you included in this video, I would be interested in watching that
@pokerchannel6991 Жыл бұрын
a 9x9 stream or a 13 13 strim woudl be pretty conducive to strimming, since the games are short and quick, almost like a chess game, but better

FWIW, regarding "I think black should resign if they must invade", I think that's mostly only true if you're playing 4,4 or 5,5. One of my favorite things is to start with 3,3 and then immediately invade as soon as the corners have been taken. Kata doesn't like it, but I've had good success with it against people my level.
@JayStrategy Жыл бұрын
Yes, it would only be true if black started with 5,5 really.

If white can take 2 opposite corners typically black will not be able to pay the komi

Komi on go quest is 7. I’m new to go, but I’ve been strongly suspecting white to be the much better side because of this
@JayStrategy3 жыл бұрын
I agree, but I am 100% sure that in amature play it doesnt really matter. You are rarely gona lose or win a game because white has 0.5 or 1 pt more i komi.

My version of Katago, which was the strongest version 6 months ago, prefers Black to open with Takamoku (4,5) instead of Hoskins (4,4), or even Tengen (center) after it reads enough variations.

Interesting, What komi are you using?

Katrain - free - easyish to use - plenty of freatures. Only problem is that it will be slow if your computer is not strong. There are paid options if you have a bad computer. ( they to the proccessing) Ai-sensai is probably the best.
