incredible...he's remaking the breakbeat w/one turntable! and did you notice, he didn't miss a beat. never saw this before and it blows the mind. theodore realy is precise to do this!

this is great stuff I admire Grandwizard Theodore, I remember I use to try to scratch like this even though I had belt drive turntables, slipmats, and a Radio Shack mixer a lot of the old school djs I truly admire that's to the person who posted this.

Pure skills - anyone who has ever tried this technique will know how hard it is to do. The fact that hes doing it live.... Props to Theodore

You guys are right he is a legend and he is a great performer. I saw him about 10 months ago and a smaller concert like this. The place was going crazy because he is so good. I was in the front row to see it all.

If you scratch. Even the most minimal amount. Even if you just use a sampled sound of scratching in your own music. If you're a fan of QBert etc. If you're wowed by the innovations of Vestax. You should bow down to Grand Wizard Theodore.

I am honored to see this done live. He is the TRUTH!!!!
@trACEurace13 жыл бұрын
@sidsque He's "Needle Dropping" blindfolded. Which means he's picking up the needle and dropping it exactly where the beat lands, which is beyond hard.

@irie1tes12 жыл бұрын
No- even more incredible than that. Before turntable mixers there was no 1st turntable / second table. He's actually lifting the needle and dropping it back in the grooves of the record thus creating a loop effect. He's also letting the track play and looping different parts of the song as it plays.....blindfolded The Old School Is It

There's NO 2nd turntable playing. He's doing that on the QFO turntable he's using. That's him by himself on 1 turntable needledropping...no other djs or turntables. Just him and 1 turntable.

No disrespect Douglas Bohm, but you don't know WHAT you're talking about. There is no 1st turntable that GW Theodore was using in this video. Needle dropping is done in this video with one turntable

How would you feel as a young DJ thinking you got your juggle game on smash and an OG just straight shit on you with one turntable? Blindfolded? I'd probably consider accordion lessons.
