Grand Wizard Theodore... I was a preteen watching him spin at the Minisink Center near 170th st in the BX in the shadow of the #4 train. As everyone break danced and boogied, I stood there in the bboy stance and watched everything HE did (Obviously NO youtube then) I smile 35 plus later at what he has contributed to the DJ culture. No, Theodore is acknowledged worldwide as the inventor of the scratch. Cats like Flash took it to the next level, but Grandwizard Theodore is the originator of the scratch.

I was there! When I first heard Theodore it was in the Bronx at Duck City MC Smiley first female MC was Rockin the mic while Theodore was rocking the ones and twos. If you wasn't there you would never understand that was Hip Hop at its best!

Yes I remember my boy Grand Wizard Theodore back in the dayz we jammed together in Manhattan at Randy's place 125th St. And Harlem world I'm the Original Cipher Sounds. I still have some of my old school flyers, from back in the dayz rocking with Theodore & grandmaster flash and others I started out working with Russell Simmons back in 1977. +Pri yon Joni No he uses a hard drive connected to the pioneer nexus 2000 cdj and has it in slave mode. Almost the same damn thing because he has a screen on the cdj and the cdj has software on top of every track he plays goes between 126 and 128 bpm's. David Guetta is a producer not a dj and would totally train wreck a set if asked to play on vinyl. And he absolutely would not be able to play a set like this.
