So, Luffy’s father is somebody else. Luffy’s father could be a D, he could have conquerors haki, and at 1000 plus episodes, we still don’t know shit about Luffy’s “real” father and mother. Dragon has to be Luffy’s father. We’re waiting for the mama. Guys, I see my comment is misunderstood so here’s my explanation: I said it that way, in the sense that Garp must have conquerors haki and is a D, Dragon has those qualities, Luffy too. It would be kinda stretched to make Dragon somebody else’s son and for him to still possess the qualities of the D and conquerors. I get it why my message is misunderstood. I’m just saying that there is no sense for Dragon to not be Garp’s son. Things link perfectly. No need for these “surprising” outcomes of Dragon being Xebec’s son or whatever else. We have no idea about Luffy’s mom for more than a 1000 episodes. We have more than 1000 episodes with very little info about Dragon except for the lineage Garp-Dragon-Luffy and some other minor stuff, and now miraculously, Dragon isn’t Garp’s son and Dragon’s wife, is in fact Garp’s daughter, so Luffy that for some time knows Dragon is his father and Garp his father’s father, eureka, now understands that his father isn’t linked to his “supposed paternal grandfather” but he is adopted from Garp and that Garp now is his maternal grandfather and that his mom is in fact Garp’s daughter and that we were trolled for an eternity. It looks kinda idiotic to change it right now. Has some perverse and unnecessary plot, which hopefully Oda will not follow. And something else for the people saying Xebec could be the father of Dragon. It means Garp is a passive Dadan, always carrying the children of his rivals. Next theory: Garp also sent Shiki’s and Rayleigh’s sons to Dadan, but that was kept a secret.

Long post, Tl;dr: I think Luffy's mother either died from circumstances that Dragon blamed on the world government or as a pirate/revolutionary, that or she is alive and either imprisoned, actively helping people, or in some other circumstance that would result in Dragon fighting the world Government but allows Garp to stay active within it. Ok. So I definitely believe that Garp adopted Dragon, but this leaves me with two questions about Garp. Is he married, and if so, why didn't his spouse raise Luffy? I imagine the best answer here is that his wife is dead, and that Garp either raised his daughter and Dragon himself, or pawned them off to someone else to raise the both of them while he was busy chasing Roger (the latter of which is most likely). I do think Garp has a daughter, as the facial similarities between Garp and Luffy need to come from somewhere, but whether she is alive or not leads me to even more questions. It would make sense for her death at the hands of the World Government to inspire Dragon to fight against them, but if that were the case, Garp would have probably turned on the World Government as well considering how ready he was to kill Akainu after Ace's death. So I figure these are the possibilities: - She died in a way that wouldn't turn Garp against the world government (As a pirate/revolutionary or from some sort of sickness), but Monkey D. Dragon would. - She died or is alive, but isn't related to why Dragon is fighting against the world government (my least favorite possibility) - Garp has no daughter. - She is alive and is either imprisoned by the world government (A house arrest of sorts to keep Garp under control) or works in a field that would inspire Dragon to rebel against the world government, or even perhaps works with Dragon and is a Co-founder of the revolutionary army. Maybe i'm missing some possibilities.

no there are Timeline issues sparked from that, it's impossible. Crocodile was there at Gold Roger's execution in his 'Male' form. This is why entire theory fell flat. He'd have to go through the transformation multiple times which not impossible but its weird and shameful behavior not suiting his character, if we assume he was a woman who wanted to be a man to grow more powerful.

I personally love the theory that Luffy's mom is actually Garp's daughter while Dragon is Rocks' son. It makes a lot of sense in the context of Luffy being the chosen one because he merges two important lines of D's. Garp fathering Dragon after Rocks' defeat and an idea of some mad girl with typical "Monkey family" personality falling in love and eloping with him at some point really fits the story well. Plus Luffy carrying his mother's surname makes him follow the pattern of other two dudes from Shonen Big 3. I don't treat that as a headcannon, but I like it. Oh BTW... we know Garp, but who is Luffy's grandma?

once there was a kingdom on the moon that had advance science technology and its name was beerka. the people of beerka could make robots and dials (the things that they use in skypia). however, they migrate to the blue planet because they ran out of resources. (the blue planet is earth, and if you see the comic cuts with enel in it when he goes to the moon (check out the manga tab on this website), you can see writings that say people of beerka migrated to the blue planet because of lack of resources.) the ship schematic that the people of beerka used to migrate is probably the one that tom (franky's dad) had. when the people from the moon (beerka) came down to earth, they accepted everyone to join and use their technology in peace and soon developed into a huge kingdom. however, a secret organization wanted to take the power and authority of the beerka for themselves and started a war. So the Beerka developed three ancient weapons to win the war. the weapons are named the ''Pluton'', ''Poseidon'' and ''Uranus''. Pluton runs underneath the ocean floor to change the tides of the sea to make a shied against enemy ships. ''Poseidon'' ''Princess Shirahoshi'' her ability to summon ''Sea Kings''. Like Pluton and Poseidon, Uranus is a dangerous weapon which can be used to rule the world or, in the wrong hands, destroy it. But as of yet, absolutely nothing else is known about it. It was first mentioned during Nico Robin's conversation with King Neptune, when she says there are three ancient weapons that bear the names of 'gods'. the survivors of the people of the moon hide away from the secret organization and take the shape of the half moon D to use as their middle name. (this explains monkey D luffy, portgas D ace, gol D roger and so on) the secret organization that betrayed and destroyed the people of the moon name themselves "world government" and started a project to hide their wrongdoings. 1. they erase the 100 years of history of the war. (the 100 years of history (the void century) that robin wants to find) 2. they send 20 soldiers to the moon to erase any trace or evidence of the people of the moon. (the 20 soldiers that were sent to the moon are later called world nobles and their offspring are treated like kings. this also explains why world nobles always wear space suits.) the survivors of the people of the moon make a small island called raftel so that the secret organization cant find them. one piece is in this island and gol d roger was the only person to find the island. the reason that luffy, ace, roger, and blackbeard are not on the island even when they're all D's is because the people of the moon wanted the world to know the evil deeds done by the government. they wrote on cubic steles made of a currently unidentified, indestructible type of stone (By the Kozuki Clan stone masons) poneglyphs (bits and parts of the 100 years of history) and placed it all around the world and sent out a selected number of their own people (D's) to find it and let the world know the truth. the beerka's (people of the moon) make one final secret weapon while they are on the island of raftel. this weapon's ability is to take the four seperate seas that were divided by pluton, and turn it back in to one huge ocean (AKA ALL BLUE (the ocean sanji always dreams of). because of its ability to turn four sea's in to one, the weapon is called "one piece".

I want to imagine Dragon being activating women's shoujo vision, making him look like a dashing prince. The Egghead flashback had Garp calling Dragon his son. The common theories (some of which may or may not overlap): 1. Shakky's sister (Buggy called Rayleigh Luffy's uncle - which makes the updated We Are opening where Dragon and Rayleigh are together in the shot make even more sense). 2. Amazon Lily's Empress that died of love sickness - likely named Himawari, to the Sun God Nika 3. A relative of Rocks 4. Garp's daughter (assuming Mukokuseki) 5. A Celestial Dragon who thought the same as Sabo 6. A different pirate altogether (Dragon was approving of Luffy becoming a pirate becomes grounded) Olvia died before Luffy was born so it doesn't encroach on the Robin is Luffy's half-sister theory. However, Shakky being Mihawk's mother theory is going to have to explain how she overcame the love sickness/giving birth to a boy.

Think GLR had a previous theory about Luffy's mother being a Lunerian, which I'm about. But something else that I believe is that Dragon might be Shandorian. Not hard to imagine with his face tattoo. Course people would ask why Garp doesn't have that, to which I say, maybe Garp doesn't want to be defined by his heritage. And Dragon being the rebellious youth he might have been at the time wanted to fully embrace his ancestors culture. So imagine Luffy being half Shandorian and half Lunerian. Personally, I like the theory that his bio mom is that flag waving revolutionary. How did his parents meet? While working together in the revolutionary Army. Also, we, the audience have "met" her, but Luffy hasn't, so she hasn't been given the chance to confirm or deny her potential motherhood. (Though a less likely, but still interesting theory is the Celestial dragon mom theory, especially paired with the "Dragon sex change" theory. I don't believe these theory's, but they're interesting to think about.)

personally, I like the bonney is luffy's mom theory. it makes enough scientific sense for it to be potentially true: her devil fruit, her reaction to kuma meaning her at least knowing some revolutionaries not being a big stretch, her appetite. but at the same time, it's left field enough for it to be able to be something to look back at and laugh if it's not true.

I miss American shonen jump...as far as I know they stopped printing it..I haven't seen one in over a decade..I had nearly 3 years of them all in a line in my book shelf....they are the reason I started buying the real manga volumes when they skipped like 50 chapters in naruto so I went out and bought those chapters which started my manga collection....which I admit with the growing responsibility of adulthoood... fell off the face of the planet...I haven't bought a new manga volume in a decade now...I see all these youtubers with their awesome rooms filled with bookshelves of manga and figures and getting paid to rant about manga and anime....I vicariously live my life through you all..because I have no life of my own...and when i find a gem of a channel like grand line review...it makes me so happy and takes me back to the days when the vast majority of my money went to manga and naruto cards
