Saint Charlos is a great reminder of Luffy’s based mentality. In egghead, the vibe is that Luffy doesn’t care about the consequences of his actions because he can get away with it now, but he had the same mentality when he couldn’t.

Personally I'd leave Bellamy, Buggy, and Helmepo in another category than the Celestial Dragons. At least those 3 had great character development. Buggy, for instance, bugged me to no end, until Impeldown. The prison arc gave me a new found respect for him as a character. By the Marineford arc, I was actually rooting for The Great Buggy. Helmepo is probably the least evolved, but he provided a great contrast and friend to Koby. Bellamy, he still has a lot of room for growth should Oda ever bring him back. But between Skypeia and Dressrosa he matured from a arrogant teen to a mature person fighting major demons.

That's not confirmed, just head canon. Personally, I assume that it was either the whack by St Myosgard being counted as an attempt or another incident where-in one of the Revolutionaries got close but failed. That or Wapol accidentallied an assassination attempt. There's a reason he's on the run.

we have seen a lot of horrible things being done by villains who were redeemed. Maybe not as horrible as what St. Charlos has done but still. i still remember how pissed off i was at Franky and his gang after seeing what they did to Usopp but now Franky is one of my fav straw hats. In all honesty, i like it when i see villains siding with heroes of the story for something or even some villain personal growth after their encounter with the heroes like we see in the opening side stories of each chapter.

If the marines and gov split up since the Marines at least from the perspective of a admiral would prob be stronger as they have so many powerful characters while all the world government has is Seraphim, Pacifista and the CP's (and other secret powers like gorosei and Imu but they don't know that). If I were a marine then I would think the main fighting force of the government is he marine force and if they split from the gov then that means the gov practically has nothing aside from a few cyborgs and secret agents. Since marines would look more powerful at first glance i think green bull sides with the marines at first.

Not quite true. You also have the Gin's of the world who ended up as potential future allies but never reappeared. We also have the 'this guy was bad before and is still bad now' like the St Charlos' of the world, too.

When i understood that helmepo was this cool sidekick close to coby years back i was like WTF?!? It was a big surprise for me to see a wacky character like him in romance down to became as he is today! It is a character which you don't expect him to be that serious & all and waiting to not see him again in the future AT ALL or even mention him in the process.That's how oda works i understood,carefree & stuff and while you wait for bigger vlains from those first years to be mentioned again like don kreeg etc helmepo is one of those very few exceptions in general! With the whole rule of three, I think we need another Charlos punch later on but this time from a Fishman. So far Charlos has been hit always in the defense of a Fishman or Merfolk. The first being Luffy's hit in order to protect Camie and Hatchan. Our second strike came from Mjosgard in order to protect Shirahoshi. I say this possible final hit needs to now come from someone of the Fishman/Merfolk races such as Jinbe, possibly in order to protect a human.

Like turning into UV or Gamma light that is not visible to the human eye.
