Not only would it be a guaranteed death after a long fall, it would be symbolic to how these self- proclaimed gods would be cast down from the "heavens". I still say it's ridiculous that Luffy is the only character in One Piece with a Devil Fruit ability that wipes him out for using it. Whether it was turning into a kid for gear 3rd, or this passing out in gear 4 or 5. No other user gets drained like that no matter what they do. I don't see Lucci getting wiped out using his awaked form, or Kaido, or Do Flamingo using his ultimate abilities. Nobody, so it's completely nonsensical to me.

I think Kuma’s background with being born into slavery and hope of being saved by the sun god as well as his ties with the bible and christianity being about hope for the suffering is a pretty interesting connection. It’s like that hope of being saved by Nika was cut into his soul and stayed with him to adulthood, including him unknowingly helping the guy who would become Nika.

Personal Theory: Crocodile was also on God Valley, a slave of the Celestial Dragons, and when everything happened Ivankov helped save him and that’s the “Secret” they held over him in Impel Down. We’ve seen how the Hancock sisters reacted on their memories, so Crocoboy agreeing to help makes sense! Additionally, why else would he want an Ancient weapon, revenge on the World Nobles.

It’s also interesting that it seems like the Buccaneer race is somehow related to Joyboy/Nika and that they have passed down not only his appearance and his dance but also the Drums of Liberation. Maybe performing the same rhythm will restart gear 5 cause Luffy sort of did it already where he forced his heart to beat to the sounds of the drums. Would also explain why the WG is so anal about making sure no one knows about Nika cause his power source is basically having believers.

I think the panels where Sanji runs to save Bonney, only to be knocked down and start spluttering blood is a great showcase of Saturns' power. Post-TS Franky moments have usually been small or sort of basic on the surface, but in the past two arcs he has single handedly saved both Luffy and Zoro just by being present and having quick thinking (and extendable arms). I feel like maybe he wasn’t what we think he is and maybe him, roger and garp were all sort of manipulated into battling each other. Thing about rocks is if he really was super evil then why did whitebeard of all people join his crew? Whitebeard was never evil so why would he be an accomplice to such evil and depravity? Also I think that dragon might actually be the son of rocks and not garp and he took in dragon after him and roger took on rocks. And maybe that’s why roger knew he could trust garp to take in ace and care for him because he saw him do it before with dragon. That would also kinda explain why dragon rejected being like garp and being a marine, he learned of his real past and wanted to finish what his dad started by taking down the celestial dragons and the world government

If they keep Xebec as an actual bad guy. then the most simple explanation is that Xebec had a good goal of overthrowing the WG but at God Valley he didn't care about the people and was going to wipe everyone out so Garp and Roger had to stop him.

I would think it as a sort of "out of the frying pan, into the fire" situation - Rocks simply wanted to usurp Imu as king of the world, and freeing people from slavery isn't included in that from what I have seen/read so far. The only thing pointing to Rocks not being just as evil as Blackbeard, Imu, or the Gorosei is the inclusion of Whitebeard, and even then we see him being mocked for valuing family and comradery over gold and other common treasures. It's entirely possible that Whitebeard held no loyalty to Rocks as a captain and only stayed because it was the only crew (that wasn't Roger's) which would accept him for whatever reason.

But my guess would be Rocks either a) shows up late and starts killing the world nobles after the islanders are all killed so Roger feels further killing is pointless or B) Rocks shows up and starts killing everyone indiscriminately including innocent islanders so Roger steps in to stop that. Who knows maybe Roger was even born on God Valley and is trying to protect his home.

Imagine Jinny is Atlas and was transformed into one of Vegapunk's satellites after a tragic incident. This could give an entire new meaning to all of the Vegapunk's satellites being different people in Kuma's flashback who had something tragic happen to them and reborn as a satellite. Imagine seeing Shaka or even York as a character in the flashback. This could even tell us why York so desperately wants to be a celestial dragon-- she was originally a slave and was jealous of them.

Personally, I think Xebec went there specially to hunt and slaughter Celestial Dragons. He wanted to be the king of the world. So eleminating Celestial Dragons should be one of his targets. That's why he was there to begin with. He must have learned about this insane sports somewhere, and he knew that a bunch of Celestial Dragons will be there. But, assuming he is the parallel of Black Beard, he most likely only cared about his own goal. So his method might be "kill ALL people in this island!" and started to kill marines, Celestial Dragons, God Valley citizens, and slaves indiscriminately. Which is why Roger and Garp decided to fight the Rocks Pirates. That's also why Garp, who hates Celestial Dragons, fought to "protect" those who he hates. He didn't have any other choice. Either letting EVERYONE to die, or protecting EVERYONE including Celestial Dragons.

In the next couple of chapters, Ginni or Ivankov discuss “vacations.” Kuma asks where they would want to go on vacation. Kuma finds and eats the Paw Paw fruit he finds on God Valley as they attempt to survive the slave hunt. Then Kuma sends everyone where the three of them want to go to escape God Valley. And that is the origin of Kuma’s “vacation” question he asks everyone he has transported in the series so far

Wild theory: Jinny is the later wife of dragon and the mother of Luffy and Bonny. There are several hints that Kuma is not the biological father of Bonny and the way, Jinny is eating her meat like bonny and luffy could be a strong hint. Bonny and luffy have a cool dynamic together in this Arc. Could be an other reason why Dragon and Kuma are relativly fokussed on in this arc. Jinny being introduced besides ivancov makes it even more possible that there is a strong link to dragon…

@@saint037 there is also the theory, that dragon is the son in law of garp and Garps daughter is luffys mother. Dragon could have taken the monkey Name to hide his true heritage (theories point to rocks‘ son because of the simulatities to rocks‘ siluette). In this case the Obsession for meat could be passed down from garp to the daughter to luffy. And I think we never saw dragon deleting Mountains of meat like luffy and garp do. And it would be a pritty monkey D.-thing to do if Ginny could not accept or acknowledge that she as the daughter of a marine is not allowed to play and live with slaves so she does it anyways and befriends with them. Would be a plausible reason for a „slave“ to have such a big piece of meat in her hands. But man i know, that this is damn unlikely! I just love spinning wild theories about one piece. I agree that us being forced into a break next week is absolutely cruel, but as you said, Oda is likely a sadist. Afterall, he subsists on our tears for nourishment. What really got me was Bonney tearing up and Kuma telling her Nika would set them free one day. I'm very curious if Ivankov already has his Devil Fruit or not. I could see the Celestial Dragons feeding it to him, much like they did Boa and her sisters, as it could serve as some sort of sick entertainment for them. Forcing Ivankov to use hormones to change slaves or commoners in strange and cruel ways, or even be used to boost and buff themselves to be that much closer to true gods. The God Valley incident is absolutely terrifying in the grand scheme, which I'm guessing you'll do a specific video on. Just think about it. For probably 800 years, every third year was them going down to an island and running a Dangerous Game scenario, where the end result was pretty much genocide.
