This song hyped me up when I first heard it in Nier Automata, but when I noticed it was a re-arrange of Nier's 'Grandma' theme, I was so pumped. The original theme, is a slow, sad and beautiful melody, which is meant as a sort of letter honouring Kaine's grandmother, Kali. I suppose the 'destruction' part of it is both in the fact it completely destroys the slow melody of the original and when it was used in Nier Automata, it was during two scenes where the background and the player/2B's understanding of what should be normal in the world is completely being destroyed. I suspect it's mainly being used as a nice soundtrack for this raid's first boss, but it could also be a nice way to subtly tell us that, what we're doing here is to utterly destroy the enemy, for their destruction of the Dwarven town, as well as to show us the destroyed state of the Puppet's bunker, a recreation of the original 'Bunker' (the actual android's home base) which crashed to Earth.

I just love how these alliance raids are just such spectacles compared to the regular 8m raids.. I wonder if they'll ever make a harder alliance raid difficulty like savage ... that would be fun as an alternate progression path.

It's an interesting idea I suppose, but how would one increase the difficulty of a raid where most mistakes are instant kills to begin with?

@@blasterman1000 I don't think alliance raids right now are instant kills. Instead there's that debuff that adds more dmg as you get hit by more mechanics. Taking normal - savage difficulty as an example, they overlap mechanics or add a twist to normal mechanics to add difficulty. I'm sure its possible but the question is whether the new content is worth the dev effort development

@@fatheryoda I was mostly referring to mechanics like in Paradigm's Breach. I would say a majority of things that bosses do, especially the last one, are in fact instant death to fail. (The towers, the trains, getting smacked upside the head with a skyscraper. Red girl marching players into the edge of the arena if they aren't careful, or the two meteors to block correctly with the terrain or die. Falling off the arena with the knight, several attacks that Hansel and Gretel do like the lance rush simply do too much damage for non-tanks to survive etc.)

@@fatheryoda As for the cost of development... probably not. New content tends to come first, and they've sort of worked it down to a formula. Now granted, something like a savage tier for Crystal Tower? I'd enjoy that. Running it now it's nothing like what I've seen synced groups have to do there. Hell, most of the mechanics can be straight up ignored nowadays.

This indeed a collab for the shadowbringers raid series, you can play the raid series once you have beaten the main quest scenario of Shadowbringers, as for the song yes it is from Nier.

It's a made-up mixture of many languages, Yoko Taro said about NieR: Automata : “The reason we went for this mysterious made-up language is because we felt that as game music, having lyrics which you can recognize and understand might distract you from the gameplay”
