By far my favorite build. That body style G-body was my 1st hot rod car.

I had a beige one like this with a blue quarter vinyl top but it was an '83 (slightly different header panel and tail lights but mostly the same). I left mine all stock right down to the buick rally wheels with the exception of one thing: I sourced a '70 Skylark Buick 350 4bbl from a junkyard to replace the Buick 231 V6. What a difference. I'll never forget not even having to change the engine mounts or frame brackets to do the swap. For a good while I even used the original TH250C trans.

The foam pad is the trick to getting rid of the hologram effect. Use it with any buffing polish.

Why dont you guys wet down the floors in the paint booth to help keep the trash from blowing up from the ground??

the booth needs to be low humidity. wetting down the floors is for backyard DIY spray jobs in your garage. professional booths have a downdraft system that keeps most dust in the floor filters. cutting and buffing is a required part of a paint job anyway, they would not avoid it just by having no dust in the paint. you need to do it to get rid of orange peel too.

2k often does that, it goes on fairly thick and then you cut and buff it flat. The paint they used on this was not a premium big $ paint, so if you had a more expensive paint it might be a little flatter, but you still have to cut and buff it afterward.
