@@ZayShawn_12345 Well I feel it's about apathy and no motivation to do anything really. For example, "Sadly life keeps lacking passion. Somehow I don't mind that." He feels nothing and still doesn't care. He can't. "I may give up on my damn self. I find it fine gravy chillin at my nan's house." Once again, he has no motivation and just wants to give up on himself and his life. "They are knocking my style and it's knocking me down." We can assume that 'they' can be society or the world itself, and he feels like the world is against him and it makes him feel hopeless. This is just to name a few lines, Then again this is purely my interpretation and I could be totally wrong.

I might be overthinking it but it seems like Dan is finally getting the peace of mind he deserves. Think 10 years ago with the Civ and COD raps it felt like he was venting his anger out with music as a medium, nowadays his raps are more lighthearted as if a weight had been lifted of his chest.

Obviously, writing is a creative medium. I'm a writer and the beginning to my book is very dark, especially compared to the rest of it. I started it around 10 years ago and i was in a deep depression. It's hard for me to go back to the start and write with the same quality i used to back then, even if i'm 10x the writer today. I usually save those projects for rainy days so i can have a modicum of the same energy in the text as back then. With that said, it's a lot easier to write hard, angry and deep things when that's what is in your head bouncing around. As i've changed my outlook on life to something very positive, it's hard to make something rough and have it be convincing. It's not impossible at all, if you feel a tonal shift in his writing, it could very much be a change of heart, as it's hard to write something chipper if you're angry or dissatisfied. But something about writing is that we evolve in what we find interesting to write too. Like the goal of the writing. I used to love writing about people in their worst place possible but still trying to climb out. Now i love to write about the daily lives of people. It's a tonal shift, but it might not be based on my mood, persay.
