OMG!😱 Thank you...Thank you...Thank you! I've been looking for this recipe for years! My aunt used to make this cake for Christmas dinners years ago but she called it something else. She showed me how to make it but I hadn't done it in so long that I forgot how...I couldn't remember the exact ingredients for the filling. I'm going to make this for our family gathering this holiday. Thanks again for sharing!

Thank you for your comments. Concerning the lemon juice, in the cream cheese. I have cooked it both ways, with 2 table spoons of lemon, and with 1 table spoons of lemon juice. The cream cheese is sweeter with one spoon of juice. I like the one spoons.

Grandma Gloria i baked my very first ugly cake for 🦃 day, it was a HOMERUN, Adults as well as the children tore into it. I added my homemade cream cheese frosting to the top along with roasted chopped up pecans on top. The family that came wearing a size 6 left wearing a 10 and the ones came wearing a 10 left wearing a 14. Thanks for the awesome recipe, i've added it to my baking list.

Love your video! This is one of our favorites. I cover the ugly with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. Sometimes I add coconut and pecans for an upside down German chocolate cake. It’s versatile and definitely a crowd pleaser!

Tried it for 2020 Christmas. My oldest gave it an 8 out of 10. He’s the only one, out of a family of four, who liked it. The cream cheese portion tasted a little like cheese cake, which I’m not a fan of. I will not be making it again. But because my son liked it, I’d give it 3 out of 5 stars. Also, you’ll be please, if you like it, that this makes a lot of cake. I love many of Ms Gloria’s recipes and enjoy watching her. I will be trying other recipes. Praising God 2020 is almost behind us.

Delicious! I've also made this using coconut and pecans and chocolate chips on the bottom and drizzled the top with smuckers caramel once it came out of the oven. My goodness talking dress size going up "Whew" make this only when you have a army of folks coming for dinner 😂..they call it earthquake cake. First at the buttom I refrigerate the chocolate mix the I pour the white mix then chocolate mix again then the white mix again looks pretty for me
