2:46 Coyote attacked by a group of raccoons!!
0:48 Coyote and Opossum
The coyote runs the opossum off. Notice that the opossum wasn't killed by the coyote the opossum just ran off. The opossum returns for more just as the coyote does when he gets ran off by the raccoon.

In the beginning, we added backyard cameras to our yard for security purposes, we saw hungry and starving animals. My husband and I decided to place some food out for them. We chose Purina's complete nutrition dog Food. Then, we got busy planting plants that benefit wildlife, and we added crayfish to our pond. I was talking with my husband about how we need to make a backyard video about the things we have done to improve our backyard. Unfortunately, being full time team truck drivers we have very little time to make a video while we are home. Maybe when we retire. :). Yeah they do. Coyotes kill raccoons. It's just raccoons are smart animals, and they will fight if they have to. A single raccoon isn't going near a coyote. But if they have numbers, and the coyote pisses it off, yes, they will fight back. They're not passive animals. Raccoons are terrified of deer. A group of them pissed off a deer. Deer got pissed, scared them all off instantly. Raccoons aren't going to pick fights they can't win. They know their limits. They really don't pick fights, but they will fight back.

We started a feed station for the wildlife with complete nutrition dog food about 4 years ago when we saw a coyote and a fox in bad shape. With our cameras we noticed that it took the coyote a very long time to warm up to the idea of eating from the container. Once they realized the food was there they seem to eat out of them about once or twice a month. At this time we don't have domestic animals. Just wildlife ;)

It’s because the coyote had no reason to attack, he has a food source, so no need to attack for food. The armadillo did not come off threatening by attacking the coyote or challenging it over the food. So the coyotes like, “why risk injury or go attack, I’m minding my business eating, their minding theirs passing by”

@@WesternKYBackyardWildlife I have many decades of experience with raccoons... They don't attack anything just for recreational purposes... They will take only so much bull shit and threats from other critters... And then they will have a go at critters much bigger and stronger than they are... I lost one of my best female raccoons defending me and her home from a pit bull dog... I have learned that my southern raccoons are not as mean or aggressive or whatever you want to call it as the northern raccoons... It is very warm here on the gulf coast and we have mild winters and they have plenty to eat all year... I think that might make them less aggressive... And the people down here seem a bit more laid back than the cold climate people of the north... To me, the north is any where north of Mississippi's southern most county...

Raccoons are unpredictable. Some scare easy, some don't... They are pesky fighters. A group of them, could take down and even kill a coyote. They may look 'cute', but they're not pleasant animals. And they can be fearless too. They don't always get scared off by people too. Most aren't aggressive though.

We have wildlife cameras set up. They are motion sensor activated. They record for 15 seconds, pauses, and record again. The opossum finally got the hint and left. The opossum came back later. I love wildlife cameras, but you miss a lot with the motion activation. One thing to remember with wildlife is they don't want to get injured. If he killed the opossum he would be risking getting hurt. The coyote just wanted the opossum to go away while he ate. I have another video on here where the opossum plays opossum while the coyote eats.
