En passant - when your opponent pushes a pawn two squares up and ends up being next to your pawn, you can take their pawn like that
@RG001100
@RG001100 3 жыл бұрын
The name of the rule is "en passant". Something like: On the move immediately following a pawn moving forward 2 squares, it can be taken by another pawn as if it had only moved 1 square.

Question - how can that pawn take at 6:55?
@mewsermeow8683
@mewsermeow8683 3 жыл бұрын
It can take by en passant. En passant occurs when a pawn moves two spaces (which only occurs if the pawn hasn't moved yet), if an opposing pawn is in position to capture it as if it had only moved one square, then the opposing pawn can take by en passant.
@justajew298
@justajew298 3 жыл бұрын
En passant. Basically if u can picture this. If u have e4 and then sum random move and then e5 then d5 is played. The e5 pawn can still take.

@winterwolf3435

That's a good plan, the main problem is that you're banking on your opponent hanging mate, which at 1900 isn't that common especially with 1 minute on the clock. But if they fall for it, it's a good tactic
