Grandpa Amu is an old carpenter who is mainly hand-crafted. Most of the videos here are mainly hand-made and gourmet. Grandpa Amu and his children are also working hard to shoot more creative videos to share with everyone, so that every reader I have learned knowledge and relieved my mood. There are many handicraft works of Grandpa Amu in the video, which can be appreciated slowly. Thank you for your support.

This may look like a simple project but the angles and depth of the cuts are all critical to prevent the stool being lopsided or wobbly. And Grandpa Amu has the plans in his head!

Hi again Grandpa Amu, Wonderful to watch, I have told you in the past that my wife is from China, her last name means furniture maker, watching you make the nice square stool reminded me of this. You are truly a skilled builder and teacher. I have not work with tool for a while and watching you I got an idea and fixed a adjustable computer stand so that it is perfect height for the chair I set at watching you. It came out perfect and I used my metal working skills to shorten it. Thank you for reminding me of my wife's family history and that I can still reshape my world so that it is just right. Thanks again my friend.

@agluebottle
@agluebottle 2 жыл бұрын
No apprenticeship necessary. The great thing about this style of woodworking is that the tools are so simple. A few chisels, a saw, and a hammer from the hardware store will get you started. You can build the workbench out of construction lumber and glue. The smoothing plane can come later. You can build the bow saw yourself. People all over the world do it. I'm doing it right now. Read "Ingenious Mechanicks" by Christopher Schwarz if you want to know more about this type of bench and its history.
