I have an odd question. Since window breakers don't always work, and since doors open once the pressure has neutralized, are there world's smallest mini tanks for cars? I just watched Myth Busters and he didn't have quite enough oxygen to wait for his door to be able to open, but it seemed like less than a minute later, he could open it. I know that probably sounds stupid, but it is like he just needed a few breaths.

Not klitchy, over dramatic or forced. Thank you to them becuz a crew that good gives you Jared & Doug, one less thing to worry about and know that they have your backs. What you created and strive for Jared is inspiring & haunting, none could of been achieved without your diving experience and foresight. Just a thought when dealing with older people who've gone missing never rule out them taking the back roads instead of the highway. The older I get the more often I find myself opting to take the less traveled, even longer, backroad way of going somewhere simply because I'm no longer comfortable in heavy traffic at highway speeds. I don't want to drive at speeds I'm not comfortable with & people get really frustrated by that so if I can take a road with less traffic on it, I'll do so. I know from talking to aging friends & family that I'm certainly not alone in this practice. This gentleman knew every little back road in that area & I'd be willing to bet that he got off that highway at the first opportunity. IDK how they build farm ponds in Texas but around here you want them shallow around the edges, rather than just dropping right off, so the cows can wade into the water about belly deep in the summer to cool off, but the middle of those ponds are often very deep because people want to stock them with fish & have them not freeze solid in the winter.
@pilsplease75612 жыл бұрын
Im the opposite in the i took the less travelled roads when i first started driving and find myself wanting to take the faster highways all the time to shave off time as im more comfortable and less likely to get into an accident that way.

I want to thank the Bellmeade community! Everyone you interacted with wanted to help! Such a loving community that really cares! Seeing them come together to aid the search for Nolan just reinforces that AWP really is indeed everyone! Your interaction with families is stellar! Whenever you collaborate with Chaos Divers or others, it just shows how much this is evolving and is one step closer to helping more people. Doug really knows his cars thanks to the towing industry! Recalling and learning from solved cases shows how much you’ve grown in 2 years! I hope this documentary will help someone find Nolan who is very loved! Keep an eye on your older family members! On a positive note, Jared and Doug it was so kind of you guys to give out merchandise on the livestream! Makes room for more! Definitely need another shirt or maybe a sticker of the new RV! It is so commendable the amount of effort that you, AWP, put in to any search. The loading & off loading of equipment, getting suited up, the weight of your tanks, let alone the depths you dive, & sometimes checking body-of-water, after body-of-water, after body-of-water, leaving no stone unturned. Each member of the Team has such a lovely demeanor about them, including Jacob & HeavyD & all the others who support your efforts along the way. Also kudos to the fine young men filming & droning these searches that give such a fantastic & heart felt aspect. I have been following AWP and the others in this movement for at least 2 years now and am a Huge Supporter of what they are about and what they do. These guys and Lyndsey to are Extremely Good at what they do, Very Professional and Very Sensitive to the families of the missing. Originally they were doing waterway cleanups entil they started finding missing people...now on top of waterway cleanup their missions are to find and recover the missing. If you are new to watching, take some time and watch all their videos on the missing they have found. God Bless you all for bringing attention to these recoverys and the missing that they have brought home to the families to help bring some kind of closure. What blows my mind is on some of these recoveries the person (s) have been under water for years and one of the groups go into the water for literally minutes and find the person...unreal that they are in a watery grave so long and these guys find them in under a hour or less. Or the dive where a company drove a piling thru the Ford next to a brand new dock pinning the vehicle where the man was for 19 years. AWP found him in minutes. Please LIKE, SUBSCRIBE and donate if possible as these groups depend on our support to go ALL ACROSS THE USA FINDING the lost and NEVER CHARGE THE FAMILIES. GOD BLESS YOU GUYS AND THE MOVEMENT

They're longer-than-full-length documentaries with insane video production -- and they're still consistently uploading. There's a lot to video production, especially on the scale they're doing now. If you think about movies, they'll film 6 months to 1 year before releasing the movie, and they have teams upon teams of post-production crews. I also love when they went live though! That'd be so nice to bring back. But I think they're taking their content a complete 180.

So... questions and a comment. I've heard mention of the magnatometer... what does it actually do? what will it take for you guys to get one? And will you maybe revisit some of the unsolved cases? My comment is... I had friend whose husband wasn't feeling well when he was out and about in his car. He pulled off the main road to a shaded area and laid his seat back to rest... but then passed away. It took 3 days to find him. Since your missing guy knew the roads well, could he have not been feeling well or was getting tired and went off the beaten path to a place he could rest a bit and then he ended up in the water? I know it's a long shot, but that is where my brain went because of my personal experience. God bless you all, you are all heroes in my book.

A magnatometer is similar to sonar, only it's used for finding large metallic objects that are magnetic. It won't matter if they're buried/silted over, the guys will still see that *something* is there, because it measures the change in the magnetic field. So they'd get a similar result to sonar, just with magnetic field responses instead of sound bouncing off stuff.

I had been wondering about the car. That was old even for a used car when he purchased it in 2000. Sounds like it was for his son - was this a gift? A birthday gift perhaps? Would this have made him more likely to keep trying to find a tag so he could gift it in time? Was that specific year and model of car special or sentimental for some reason? He could have gone far off the road if he suffered a medical incident and his foot was on the gas. It happened near me, I think the gentleman ended up almost 1/4 mile off the road and was only stopped by a cluster of trees.

I agree he could’ve traveled pretty far if suffering from a medical emergency. I don’t think these berms would’ve posed as a deterrent if he wasn’t in complete control of his body and floored the gas pedal.

@@yeoldeentertainment9154 I watch lots of car shows and older cars are more likely to be sought after, cherished or valued in the USA. In Australia we like to get new cars because 90 percent of our population lives within 2 hours of the coast. Everything rusts faster near the ocean. I've decided that USA has a ton of water everywhere and no wonder cars end up in the drink!
@skylarkgames67202 жыл бұрын
@@yeoldeentertainment9154 oh for sure, especially today. I think it just stood out to me because a 70s car was a horse of a totally different color for 2000, whereas an approx 10 year old car would have been much more similar to early 2000s styles and safety features like air bags. I had a 1988 car and a 1991 at the same time and they were like night and day. I'm definitely a classic car junkie, I'd say 25 years old is about where you can start looking at classic (unless it's a highly desirable sports model or something) but generally 35 or so years has been the benchmark for a true classic per my local shows. This car only stood out to me because it was kind of in that in-between phase (IMHO) so I wondered if there was something special about that year and model.

Agreed, momentum is a crazy thing! After having seen the site of our next door neighbor’s accident, I will never rule out a berm or ditch as a ramp. The car came around the corner at a very high rate of speed, crossed lanes, hit the culvert ramp of the driveway, and launched 40 feet into the air. Would have never believed it except that the branches on the huge pine tree were missing where the car sheered them clean off the tree trunk. He was a passenger and survived, but not everyone in the car was as lucky.
@goin2green2 жыл бұрын
In a big old car like that I'd think a berm would act as a ramp, especially hitting it at an angle. Just a thought.

The landscape has changed so much over the years that looking for missing fencing being deterred by new fencing and new trees and shallow water are all irrelevant aren't they? Can anything truly be ruled out in these instances?
@jennifersoto65312 жыл бұрын
I agree on the fences. Over 20 years is a long time to not repair fence. Most of those areas are tanks for cattle so having no fences is weird. Even with no livestock most people will maintain fences.

Maybe I have missed it, but has Lake Waco been searched extensively? I know it is a bit out of the way. But if dementia is possible he may not have followed a logical route. He could have gone south on Hwy 6 from Mart, instead of north to Bellmead. That would have looped him around toward the lake.

When I had heart failure while driving. My foot floored the gas pedal. I went flying down the road a eighth of a mile until my arm spun the wheel and I spun out across three lanes hit the light pole in the middle sliding in reverse and then shot out across two lanes on the other side of the road into on coming traffic lucky no cars were coming. Knowing this he could have floored it over any hump if he like you Said had a seizure. Any thing can happen never rule out anything. Much love and God bless.

The Kyle Clinkscales case from Georgia showed that a car can hide in a small, shallow creek next to a busy road for over 40 years. I know AWP specializes in big bodies of water. but future searches should be made of the smaller water bodies and creeks, like the one at 35:12.

Let me add he is 87 possible Dementia and a delivery man .. take thus for what it is worth. Old people remember everything from the past ,old roads etc etc . He wouldn't be taking new roads he would definitely be taking the old roads from the past. New roads are foreign to people in that state of mind . 😉

You might should have checked the ones with the burms since it may have been an anthill that long ago.. and from some one who has slide off the road in inclement weather you would be shocked at the momentum a car gets or atleast I was shocked at how far a car will travel in fields. Gentlemen, just found you a couple weeks ago, had to subscribe and join your awareness movement. I can not thank your team for what you can do for the lost, families. Enough. Crazy you guys can make it look so easy, but the reality is this is a dangerous job. Although I commend the other teams out there. You guys are the real deal. Your compassion, skills, and plain common sense in matters of the family..absolutely outstanding.. so here's to lost.and the ones that find our lost.. Thank you
