RALPH IMPORTANT. Hey Grandpa, I breed and train beagles to chase rabbits in my retirement. I also frequent many Canadian and American clubs to compete in trials. I do not use Straw with my 50 beagles and 99.9% of the beagle community do not either. The dogs chew on the straw and at times a piece of straw will migrate into the soft tissues in the throat and embed itself turning into an infection. I never seen it happen since no one use straw, but older guys are always happy to warn newbies and an I older personal friend had it happened to one of his dog. Please monitor your guys closely. Usually an infection in the throat reveals itself by a lump on the neck and pain. When ready to burst if you press the lump often the pus will come out the mouth. This is the only way to find out as hay, straw and even wood do not show on X-rays. One of my dogs ran into a piece of dry wood that got in her throat by the mouth and broke off. They had to open her up to find it lodged in the muscle of her neck with an entry wound at the back of the mouth. Check your dogs closely to see if they still have the reflex to put every thing in their mouths!

Hello Doss family, you can use a tiny bit of Cheyenne pepper 🌶️ on the bottom of your feet to increase circulation and increase heat. FYI TSC has fireside socks that I find very warm and fuzzy.
