I may be alone in this, but I like the older Format of Hack-Videos better. Without the Voice-over and all the slow-mos. We get mostly nothing of the Communication with Chat, which is why I like your content, and also I always enjoyed the struggle, to see you figure out how the Level actually works and see the progress. I am missing that in this video a lot. So sadly, as cool as this hack seems, it'll most likely be the fastest forgotten for me. But alas, I seem to be in the minority here 🤷🏻‍♂️

Love the channel. I used to love how in the past, you'd include a "deathless" playthrough of the level at the end as a recap of what we'd all just seen, but I have to say that I quite enjoy the commentary to explain what's going on - it's always a joy to watch you play and discover these tricks, but to showcase them in this manner just adds so much and helps to understand the complexity and creativity of what these rom hack developers are creating... next level platforming here, man!

I feel like there's a significant amount of people praising the format and the voiceover, but I personally think that the constant voiceover breaks to explain things completely hamstrings the momentum of the video. As much as I'd love to watch this, I just can't enjoy it with how often these breaks are used. I almost wish there was a second upload without the voiceover, but I recognize I'm in the minority here.

That one piece of music you said you couldn’t identify, but had definitely heard before… it was from Mega Man. I’m struggling to remember which specific stage though. I think it actually had its soundfont changed. Like it’s from Mega Man 7 I think, but is in the Mega Man X soundfont? Edit: I GOT IT! It’s Cossack Stage 3/4 from Mega Man 4, being played in the Mega Man 7 soundfont.

Hey Poo, long time YT watcher here - discovered you back in the Carl vs. Poo days and have watched nearly every video you've put out since. Looking at the comments, this is probably an unpopular opinion - but I really dislike these condensed style of videos. Kaizo ROM hacks are my favorite type of your video to watch, so I really look forward to when new content comes out - but seeing some (not all) of the grind, getting a better "feel" for the true difficulty in a level and having adequate time to admire the creator's design choices makes them very enjoyable. Some people will might say "well just watch the stream then," but... well, I like them at least a little condensed. For me, the original Grand Poo World 2 videos were perfection - typically 1-2 levels per video, each video 15m-45m long as appropriate. The voiceover commentary is... okay. Having some additional insight is nice to have, but I don't think it's needed nearly as often. It also sounds a little like you're reading from a pre-written script (but I expect that'll get better with time and practice). Regardless of how you structure future videos, I'm looking forward to more ROM hack content.

Love the content, love the hack, don't love the voiceover. I like most things Poo does, so I was trying to figure out why. I think when watching Poo play at a high level, I get a lot of enjoyment out of figuring out, or trying to figure out, why a certain section is difficult (the input reader really helps with this.). Unfortunately, it seems like the voiceover spoils this for me, as it gives the game away even before we get a chance to see the section. Maybe it would help to let the gameplay speak for a bit before sharing the details in voiceover? But that might leave out the many folks who enjoy the explanations, and there seem to be many! Anyway as always thanks for being a great Mario streamer and player and generally a super reasonable person on the Internet!

I find it hard to enjoy these voiceovers even though I know why it's there but it just wont let the cool stuff be cool and move on. It stops the flow and skips over the many attempts, conversations, and jokes that were made in other kizo vids it's just hard to watch a 40 minute video when we have to stop every couple of seconds to explain what we just saw I just miss poos personality and he does the cool Mario thing.
