Grandstream Network Controllers and Licensing Costs

Hi Willie, I recently picked up a gwn7801P based in part on the claim that it has an embedded controller (per the product page & data sheet). However, I haven't seen any evidence of this anywhere in configuration interface or the product manual. My expectation was that I could have the switch act as my network controller and manage the switch + my Grandstream access points from there. Part of the reason I went with Grandstream was to avoid having to use the cloud service or run a dedicated host machine on my network.

Went down the GS iPBX & VoIP route based on your previous presentations - a good choice. Looks like a network upgrade coming fairly soon may also use Grandstream product.
