I learned to crochet when I was around 11 - my aunt taught me. We always counted stitches on something that was already crocheted. She couldn’t read patterns, so would visually copy things. Miss my aunt Magdalene. ❤️

Lori, Hi I've heard your name a bunch but haven't taken the time to check you out and MAN OH MAN was I ever missing out. This video is so amazingly done. It almost feels like you're talking to me. I cross stitch, crochet and sew in that order. Thank you so much for giving us the time and care to ensure we are comfortable with our understanding. I plan to do some of this. I am a very beginner sewist so I don't know if I can do the quilt but I will do the cross stitch and crochet for sure. Again. Thanks so much. ❤

I have a full size bedspread made of four inch crochet squares made from crochet thread that I brought at a estate sale, it fits a king size bed with a nice drop on the sides. The last rounds of the squares is that Nile green popular in the thirties and then pink and yellows and lavender. From what I can remember it wasn't very expensive maybe between thirty and fifty dollars the only thing is that is so heavy and a real pain to wash and dry so I dont use it very much. Not to mention trying to keep the dog and cats off the bed so they don't snag it!
