Jalen has an irrational disdain for Duke, but his teams lost to Duke on the occasions they played and Duke also took a championship from them, so I get it. Duke also recruited Chris Webber, so that kind of muddies the waters for Jalen.

@MrMhj26 It's not the truth, though. He is actually factually incorrect. Duke doesn't cater to one type of player. Chris Webber was recruited heavily by Duke, and Webber was tempted to play for Coach K. Laettner was just as poor as all those members of the Fab-5, it's just that Jalen Rose's racism didn't allow him to ever imagine that such a thing could be true, because he -- along with lots of other people -- just assume that people like Laettner must come from wealth. Why? Because of skin color. There were just as many players on those early 90's Duke teams from poorer areas of the globe as there were at Michigan. It's just that Jalen Rose doesn't even stop to think that such a thing could be true, because he's too busy perpetuating a false narrative.

Jalen and Grant were both great professional basketball players. Grant overcame not having to work as hard as he did to setting the goal, working harder than anyone, and becoming great. Jalen overcame poverty and environmental factors to set goals, work hard and achieve greatness. The hatred, disconnect, and misunderstanding between the poor and rich are not isolated to one ethnic or racial community. But I applaud both equally and both have provided financial security through their efforts for their future generations. While there they also made the National Honor Society, and other honor's. So y'all hate'n ass people can stop the hate. We have to stop getting offended when we hear something that we know has a reality but yet can't handle. Jalen Rose comes off as being racist or Prejudice or calling out certain players like Grant Hill being an Uncle Tom. When in reality is not the Grant Hill's Uncle Tom he's just stating the fact that do preferred players and better environments then they would a kid from the hood that had Talent back in the day. So why get upset when he speaks the truth. You can even see this skip couldn't even handle the small segments that was given to them to talk about it the reality not the issue. Society please wake up and start dealing with truth and quit accepting what you just want to hear or what you think is the status quo. Our society today is way too sensitive and they need to grow up.

Those Duke teams beat the Fab 5 every time they played them too.

christschool tf that has to do with this, it’s like you’re trying to imply rich kids are better than less fortunate kids
@christschool4 жыл бұрын
@@bryanaustin5275 I grew up homeless, there is no implication from my comment that rich kids are better, they're not. What I object to is bragging without backing up your shit. Chris Webber wasn't poor and Brian Davis came from a very poor family. I think you read into my comment what you wanted to think. My bottom line is if you can't back up the talk with your walk, STFU! Jalen Rose likes to pretend that poverty is a black thing, it ain't! Brian Davis grew up in the hood' as well and by all accounts, had the roughest childhood of anyone from either team and he was recruited by Duke but Jalen conveniently leaves that out. Niether Christian Laettner nor Bobby Hurley grew up rich. Jalen is still butt hurt they got their asses kicked every time. That Duke team had what Michigan didn't have, a grittiness to do whatever it took to win. Jalen's arrogance is that he believes because he grew up poor, black and athletic, he deserved to win. WRONG! Lastly, Michigan is a top university in this country, its not like he went to Grambling because that was his only option. How many kids were rejected from Michigan that had stellar academics and worked just as hard to get that opportunity?! Because Jalen could dribble and shoot a ball, he got the chance those other kids didn't and its paid off for him. Good for him, but his weak ass would be a nobody if he wasn't gifted by God with that ability. Sorry, but they got outplayed, out hustled and got their asses handed to him for exactly the attitude he put on display in this video.

Shut up and grow up rose--you never ever beat duke--sent you home with your heads down--then lost my arch rival UNC because nobody told webber, who was one of players with Jayson with the Kings, that there were no time outs left--my high school team was 30-0 and lost the State Championship--get over it--putting Duke down is a lost cause--shut up and grow up-go Duke

James Mccorkle And believe me, if they, meaning Cweb and Jay had stayed at Michigan they would have won the next two years. But millions when you're broke is hard to pass up. You are an ass.
