Very true, just like grants exit in 1999 and the episode they snatched the money of Kim Brooks and his henchmen, you really felt Mitchell brothers were in danger that episode and out there depth

@@diehard21000 it felt very gritty compared to EEs more cartoon feel of today's show. It's best years was 85-95/6 and then it was good until 2001 but showed slight signs of fatigue.

Wow Douggie was quite rough with Sharon for PC 1994.

Grant turned into a softy here. Normally he does the hit first ask questions later but here he asked first before he could strike Dougie and got knocked out with a vase. This was this time when he really should have used his hit first and then ask.

Eh, tv always makes it look like it's easy to knock out characters with 1 slap to the head. Eastenders always lacks realism.

@@colinluby5950 I recall the actress who played chrissie went to the show bosses and told them that large elements of the den murder story had gaping holes in it and made no logical sense. They basically told her that was the nature of the beast and how soaps had to function ie. Realism being sacrificed for plot. She said something like the writers must have being smoking crack when they were writing the scripts. Both nigel Harman and leslie Grantham basically said similar after they left saying some of the plots were often absurd and were divorced from reality. I recall the actress who played frankie Baldwin in corrie said something pretty similar to the writing for her character. And bill treacher who played arthur blasted the show in recent years for it's bad writing also. In fairness many films and other TV shows do it too. It's just in soaps you get so many episodes that you spot far more.

@@shanefolan That's interesting. I suppose also they are under pressure to produce so much material, especially if there are daily episodes. Robert Webb did that series about film errors, which exposed all sorts of stuff
