I’m 38 and Im completely blown away of how knowledgeable Grant is for how young he is . He is light years ahead of 99% of guys his age and even older golfers when it comes to mechanics of the swing . To have an eye to see when Steven send his shots in a specific direction to have him tweak it with the little pause at the top . Great work Grant . This entire good good crew is so refreshing to watch . To see younger guys play well and actually put time into there game is great too see .

Nice video Grant. You don't see many swing correction on actual people that need help with their swing. It's always the pro telling you how to do it themselves. I can relate to Steve's inconsistency and having him be the focus of your video/lesson really hits home to me. One of the best swing instruction video on KZbin right now. You are the man. Thank you both. Keep them coming. I'm doing everything you are saying and you are fixing my swing at the same time.

I played a lot of golf in the summer of 2018 & I played ever once in awhile since then but now I’m trying to back into it. I think what made me quit was bc I didn’t see improvement or feel it. Hello G, my instructor has told me in the past that my alignment was too far left but when I lined up at the range today, parallel left and swung the clubhead up a lot longer outside my hands...the magic started! I did get a few pushes and hope the pause in backswing works better on course. We'll see tomorrow! OK. Played yesterday and shot 4 over and embarrassed to say with 4 birds. There is a LOT of great content on GHG.

This is so good. I have some back and neck injuries from sports when I was younger. I totally notice a difference when my tempo, balance, and follow through are all good during the same swing. If you set up correctly and do these things you should be hitting some great shots. The key is to remember this on the course and make it a consistent part of your game. I needed to see this to remind myself to do these same things. Thanks Grant.

Video feedback is huge! Love the content Grant, keep it up. I suffer from similar issues in transition and my downswing is over the top cause I'm too quick and don't use enough hip turn. Great video Grant. Really love these videos. I struggle too with transition as many of us do leading to inconsistency. We try creating speed at all the wrong places (backswing, top of downswing, etc) instead of pausing at the top and max out club head speed at bottom of downswing. Great content👌🏻

Absolutely loved this video. This is exactly what I've been working on. I didn't realise making a small stop at the top of the back swing will help the transition more, and pointing slightly left of target will also help. i shall try this at the range tomorrow. I did understand Steve about the range swing and course swing. not just me then :)
@Sparky_0072 жыл бұрын
@Grant Horvat Golf Took some of your points for Steve out to the range today and saw instant results. Slow that damn backswing down and get in the slot and let it rip!. Transition in the slow and a healthy follow thru is half the battle, of not more!
@demitra38jpk503 жыл бұрын
Talking about balance: less than a week ago I went to the range to try and figure out why I slice my driver but then I pull my irons. And what I discovered was that I would fall on to my back foot. I focused up on finishing more balanced and a little more on my front foot, and I immediately started bombing my driver dead straight and added 15+ yards carry (from what I could see. Might be wrong) So hearing Grant talk about balance being so important was pretty cool here. Thanks!

@djbreal872 жыл бұрын
I didn't even know slowing down and slight pause at the top was actually a real thing. I was slicing them right all the time, and I just told myself, slow down, relax, keep tempo, pause, feel it. And just like Steve, I slowed down my back swing, just the tiniest pause at the top, and quick follow through. I hit them straighter with much more consistency and now a little bit further as im getting a more full swing, and not the half to 3/4 I was before. This video was nice validation, and a lot of learning, I plan to try and implement into my swing to help improve my game. I would love a day with Grant giving me tips it would be a dream.

I would tell Steve/everyone to write a journal,.. or of a rule set. Literally bullet points of his latest observations/lessons/rules for playing well. I have one with probably 100s of tips through the years. But I'll only ever look at the top 5 before playing a round cause it's the most relevant (and recent) needed change. And since it's so new, it's great to review right before playing. It's like having your mentor/coach/caddie reminding you what you need before every swing of the course.

Steve, you might have the nicest swing in Good Good now! And that's saying something. I used to have the same problem, killing it on the range and then my swing on the course was totally different. Just remember Steve that it is no different, minus the pressure. Haha! Pick a target, go through your routine, make a good balanced swing. I was horrible about getting onto the course and thinking "I have to kill this ball to make it go anywhere." Throws off your rhythm and balance so bad. I wish I could get a lesson from Grant! Earl Woods once said Tiger could swing a hard as he wanted to AS LONG as he maintained his balance. Great video!
