1. More details please, on release, on wrist movements, the feels/checkpoints of a good setup including the rest of the body, and no need to rush it. 2. Take a page from Rick Shiels book and just keep churning out swing tips with a hook we can all relate to "how to stop slicing", "course management" etc. And just do them again a year later with a better mic and post-production. It works and I'd watch it.

How much did this mess up your handicap?
@chipandputt2 жыл бұрын
@@nicholastheos3022 it didn't ... although at first I was trying to go to the limits of the range of motion, which was super awkward. I dialed it back a bit, treated it more like a bit of error mitigation rather than a full end-stop limit like he described. Oddly enough, what the minor adjustment did was get my upper arms to get a bit more "connected" to my torso, which has cut my dispersion down significantly, especially with wedges .. down to a 5.8 index.

Then keep it there and start the down swing and clear that left hip back keeping the right hip back. This will move your lower body toward the target 3-4 inches. Bryson, from a guy who has been taking his golf swing seriously since 1975 I want to thank you for all the videos you have been posting. Not only have you been giving great information to all the golfers in the world who want to improve their swings (and yes, that includes me.), you have also been giving an outlet for the stress of worrying about our world where Covid has been harming so many people. Your videos are a tremendous help to people in many ways. Not only are they giving help to golfers to improve their swing, but also in way too keep people sane in a time of great crisis by just being able to view them in a safe environment, like their homes. It is beyond cathartic voyeurism, It actually brings hope for a day when we can use your teaching to improve our game when it if fully safe to do so. Thank you for your generosity with your videos and on a personal note, this old duffer is now a big fan of you.

Within a year, i am playing CONSISTENT scratch golf and love playing golf more than ever. One thing I noticed today is for my driver (and pretty much all the clubs) the faster you pull back your backswing, the better and stronger your downswing and contact with the ball is. Big time tip that helps people I teach, is understanding address. "middle of stance" people tend to think front to back ball is middle. Without really getting a true concept of where the club is related to body. It's hard to even put into words. The tip of driving to target and not into ground is prime though. That gets you understanding where you need to be in relation to ball/clubface. Glad you're teaching. It helps your own game tremendously since the two are completely different.

Great explanation on the relative arm positions. I always thought I had a good grip, but now I know that it is no good if it is not locking in the right arms positions. After I watched your video I realised my left was neutral-internal and my right was internal-neutral. No matter what grip change I tried I could not eliminate my push fade. So, thanks very much for sharing this aspect of your golfing knowledge. Definitely interesting and far from boring. More pros should share things that they are working on. Not just in golf but in all sports. To my mind the modern media is too focussed on the theatre aspect of sports. You tube is great way to sidestep this dumbed down outlook. So thanks again for your generosity in using it to share these helpful technical details.

I like how Adam finished with the statement that golf is a hard “sport”. That’s right. It’s not just a “game” as many like to say. It’s a sport that demands physical abilities and concentration. I imagine it can be played as a game, but personally I don’t want to play it that way. I just finished my very first golf season, and have learned a lot. I can’t wait for the spring to arrive.

Hi I have been playing golf for several years but I have never felt comfortable with the swing. I have watched so many videos, and of course, they all talk about hitting the ball into the ground. My brain could never grasp that concept: It was like landing the plane into the ground, and my brain refused to switch. However, Bryson talked about how we are always trying to "PUSH THE BALL FORWARD." This was a moment of golf enlightenment for me, because I get this concept. When you are pushing the ball, you realize that you are inviting your body to the party as well and not just the arms. Your body automatically does the desired adjustment, and it is quite natural. So you don't need to hold your arm behind your ear and breathe from your right nostril. The mind is comfortable because you are not crashing the Boeing 747 into the ground. And then the ultimate test: Could I hit my 5 wood pushing the ball forward, and yes, it flew off strainght and beautiful distance for me. Not sure about the driver, and I look forward to learning from Bryson. Thanks so much for the video!

Dude, your explanation on striking the ball may be the best one I’ve seen on KZbin. Keep up the good content! Love the channel

Bryson was born to teach. Can't believe I've had a lesson from PGA pro Bryson Dechambeau!

Great video! 10:00 minute mark. Straighten right arm across the chest and down the line - game changer. I've always straightened mine before the ball.

The internal- external explanations for the arms was a new way to think. Appreciate it

I sadly am a life long duffer. I realized over time that the most important thing in golf, and the hardest thing for people like me to do is hit the ball down and first like Bryson was showing, EVERY time. I've never seen any pro golf teacher really teach it. All pro golfers do it every time. You will never play golf well and not do it. Having great hand eye coordination is a key to all this which I do not have, as well as all the other skills it takes to play like Bryson DeChambeau. Very well done...THANKS. I love this guy!!
