I'm sorry to say that Paul showed his most vindictive side in this episode, where he'd brought his posh clothing in to show off, but it got damaged and as Denzil said, he wanted to "get back at the travellers". So Paul concocts a story about his phone being nicked, but it turns out that he had it on him the whole time, and Paul is rumbled (and ashamed) of the simple act of having Eddie Lawson call him on it, via a piece of paper with Paul's name and number provided by the school secretary, and Paul's clutching of his trouser pocket with the vibrating phone in it gives him away. Hope you learnt your lesson, Paul!

Grantley and Paul go to war against the Travellers! Paul has a good motive, his expensive new clothes were ruined by the Travellers removing the lead off of the school roof so that water gushed in on top of him in class, but Grantley is just prejudiced against "outsiders" and is ready to side with Paul in his crusade against them.

@@AlexRow55 There was no problem with the school roof before the Travellers arrived. If it was just corrosion, the timing couldn't be more inconvenient to them.

@@AlexRow55 I agree, an excuse for Grantly to complain about people he personally didn't like, and he unfortunately coerced Paul into disliking them, too. I honestly think Paul would've been neutral towards the Travellers if it hadn't been for his bad luck in being under the leaking ceiling when it collapsed, and then hearing Grantly name the "culprits".
