It's gorgeous! I've always wanted to paint a portrait - or many - like this ! But never new how! I love watercolours and am self taught so these videos are very interesting to see how other people use watercolours. Your sketch was beautiful - thank you for also showing how you marked it out initially that was very helpful. And the way you applied watercolour was beautiful - but the way you spoke was the best. Gentle, careful , thoughtful and helpful teaching. Thank you - I will be trying this out. The thing with the fur was a very thoughtful and helpful tip. My kitties have mostly been white so I hope you've done a white kitty so I can see how you did that colour - I often spend forever on a perfect sketch then don't want to risk ruining it by adding colour that I don't really know how to add to get the right shadows etc. so I never end up painting them! But thank you - I want to try this now : ) It's perfect !

That tabby looked a little annoyed, but it is hard to know what a cat is thinking. My cat often gets a thoughtful look on his face. Do you photograph your cats then work on a painting from that? I have a few photos of Mister Kitty... I love your tutorials! Thank you! ~Janet in Canada ^..^< ( purrr)

Grant, dare i ask what tech equipment you're using to video your amazing painting demos

+digitalsketchguy I just use a Canon digital camera (not DSLR) on a tripod overhead and facing me. Then I flip the image 180 in Cyberlink Powerdiector. Audio is added after all the edit cuts are done.
