I agree with your husband, working in the garden is equivalent to working out at the gym. It's hard work with no regrets.

Your husband is hilarious, you two make a good team. Men are good at screwing everything up so we won't ask them to do it again. :-) Pugs are so cute. Gardens look great with the mulch.

What kind of mulch do you use? Your property and your gardens are soooo pretty, and I love the black color you painted the house. Everything is beautiful.

You two crack us up. Love watching your beautiful garden. Could you do a video on how to keep coneflowers alive? They die every time I buy them. It’s 90 and up here from May until September. Zone 9b. If I water everyday they seem to get too much water, if I don’t they die from the heat. Please share tricks and tips. Also, we have to water here sometimes twice a day when it’s hot. How do you deal with fungal issues?

You and your hubby did such a wonderful job in all your lovely flower beds. I'm so impressed! Can you tell me what kind of mulch you use 'cause it's beautiful! With my luck, I probably won't be able to find it here in Michigan (6a). I would like to try though. I'd like to try mimicking some of your garden styles if you wouldn't mind. I've only been more into gardening since 2020. Before, I would only plant a little something here and there. Lately, all I want to do is plant, plant, plant cool stuff! But I get so depressed when Summer starts coming to an end. As it stands right now I have no place to plant seedlings anywhere indoors. I'm hoping by next year I will have a room cleaned out so that I can maybe start a little something. That might help the doldrums a little bit. Well, I've yapped enough about my troubles. Sorry about that. Thanks so much for this video and all the others you've done. btw: I'm really looking forward to see how your new barn, garage, and the rest of your renovations turn out. I'll bet it will be spectacular! Later. Take care.

Love the Neptune's Harvest products. I do highly recommend wearing a dust mask and gloves when spreading your Plant Tone or any other fertilizer or mixing organic/living soil. Also keep pets away, Too dangerous risking a bacterial lung infection.

Shelley, I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day! Your gardens look absolutely gorgeous! I know that having garden beds that are photo-worthy is lots of hard work, but now that you have everything cut back, weeded, cleaned up, fertilized, and mulched, you can enjoy the beautiful landscape that you've created. Gardening is definitely a labor of love. I'm thankful that we are finally going to get some warm weather here in zone 5a. ~Margie😊

Thank you for the fertilizer information. I bought some Neptune’s Harvest this year, but I haven’t used it yet. We seem to be off to a late start with the gardening work this year in New York. We got about a foot of snow in the late “winter” storm in April, and that was a real setback. Anyway…I’m finally getting started and making some progress, so your advice is really helpful, as always. I’m going to pick up some Plant Tone as well because, you know, you’re my garden guru. Seriously, you’re so knowledgeable, and your gardens are certainly evidence of that. Thank you so much for everything you share.

Happy Mother’s Day! I wish I could put down all that plant tone. My German Shepard puppy will just destroy the garden even if I put mulch and coffee grounds over the top. Maybe next year she’ll calm down. Thank you for sharing all the good knowledge. We worked all day yesterday on the raised beds. Lol, I can barely move today but it’s too beautiful outside to mope inside. Always enjoy your videos, so this morning it was great to see one. 😊

😂😂😂lol...yall keep me rolling...Hey I feel your pain. I am 55 yrs old and HAD to get on disability because of pain I suffer with. I had a motorcycle wreck at age 21 that left me for dead but the Good Lord brought me back. I carried 6 kids, was beat on for 15 yrs of my life literally thrown through walls and my body is broken. Very very broken. I have a small flower bed out front that I tend to and hanging baskets. It takes me a week just to do spring clean up, fertilizer and compost. When I am done I am down for a few days. My ass will be dragging the ground just to finish. Love watching your channel. God bless everything looks beautiful! 😊

Everything is looking beautifull!! I feel your pain, have two more yards of mulch to do myself just waiting for rain to stop. And naturally wind and rain is gonna stop when i have to go back to work on Monday. And oh my gosh what can be better than eating ice cream in the garden with a husband that's a comic lol. You are also absolutely right though , weeds wouldn't get so big and out of control if you everyday pull them while your strolling threw your gardens and that's exactly what I do. Great information always learning from you.

I feel your pain! But I probably have 20 years on you! My husband is a good worker bee, however he asked me yesterday if I was trying to kill him!😂 First thing he said to me this morning…”my back is killing me”! Heck we don’t even have mulch down yet!! I also use Plant Tone and need to try to remember where I’ve already applied it, then finish up! I’m ready to mulch…but it hasn’t been ordered yet🤨…yes, I will be working outside again today! More than likely alone! Looking forward to a day off on Tuesday….going up to Burlington to Garden Supply and Horsford Gardens!! This was a great video….thanks….as always!

Shelley, any knowledge on Tuff Stuff hydrangea? I planted one last year...didn't do much but I thought maybe because it was newly planted. This year I have nothing, the buds on the old growth definitely got zapped, but no new growth...I did scratch around and there is green in the branches, am I doing something wrong? Gets a good amount of sun...Ugh! It's making crazy!! (My Endless Summers have plenty of new growth)
