16:26 sound like my wine, which good wineries are from there that I should look? And what areas exactly?

Just found this channel and after this video, I am already hooked. Hailing from Australia, I can remember drinking straight Colombard which in my nascent years I thought I could detect the scent of banana on the nose. Sadly I don't see it any more so I was surprised to hear you refer to it as a blending partner for one of my favorite age-worthy whites Chenin Blanc. Cheers!

Steen is dutch for stone. Presumably because called tha because of the stonefruit notes in the wine.

Are there sweet wines made without the aid of botrytis? Every time you mention sweet wines it seems like botrytis is involved

There certainly is - through other concentrating grape sugar methods such as drying the grapes on/off the vine, freezing the grapes (Eiswein/Icewine) and then through winemaking techniques such as stopping fermentation early or adding a sweet component

@@WineWithJimmy Thank you! Eiswein sounds very intriguing, will have to give it a shot.
