This live video has left me a little confused about Graphene CS3. I called in to Adam's Polishes and spoke to a customer support rep a few weeks ago- he recommended using the Graphene CS3 as a drying aid instead of the Graphene detail spray (for the exact same reason Joe said not to use the Graphene CS3 as a drying aid in this live video- water evaporation and leaving concentrated residue). In fact, I am looking at the last sentence of the common sense warning on one of my bottles of Graphene CS3 right now and it states ".... and then be sure to use Adam's Graphene CS3 as your drying aid". I also want to use the Graphene CS3 as a waterless wash which the rep told me was fine, as did the Adam's Polishes KZbin video for graphene CS3, as does the Graphene CS3 bottle label. During this live video, I noticed Joe was continuously going for the regular CS3 and not the Graphene CS3. My vehicle has a regular graphene ceramic coating from the 60ml bottle (not spray). What should I use as a drying aid and can I still use the Graphene CS3 as a waterless wash? I feel I need to add- the product video for the Graphene Detail Spray on Adam's website shows using it as a drying aid, as does the label on the bottle (under "INSTRUCTIONS:"/ "FOR USE WHEN WASHING"). This comment is not intended to be mean-spirited or accusatory, I apologize if I am coming across that way. This will be my first summer with a vehicle with any kind of coating other than wax- I want to be sure I am doing things correctly to maintain the coating, maximize shine and minimize time required to apply and even out the products I use. Thanks for all the information you are providing in your KZbin channel- I have saved several of these videos in my custom playlist as a resource.

They all work fine on a cool surface. Heat is the enemy for products to develop streaks such as in direct sunlight and on a hot panel or hot glass. GCS3 tends to be more streaky tough than CS3.

Hi Cory, thanks for the detailed response! As Mike G mentioned, any of our ceramic-infused and graphene-infused products are going to be more effort to use as a drying aid, due to the protection additives. You will need to spray sparingly and use 2 towels on darker colors to avoid smearing and that hazy residue on the surface that Joe shows in this video. Use the drying towel first, then immediately follow up with a dry plush microfiber like a Single Soft or Borderless Gray Towel. As far as confusion with some of the labels and website information, I agree - we sometimes write labels and descriptions early in the development process, then the more we use the products, you will notice that some recommendations may change in videos as we use the products on more vehicles in more situations. Adam says it time and time again, our best drying aid is our regular pink Detail Spray. It goes on and off the easiest without streaking, and is the most affordable option too. Since it is a polymer formula, it is safe on wax, sealants, and ceramic coatings no problem. Graphene CS3 is totally fine as a Waterless Wash, but keep in mind you will need more towels to avoid streaking since it is a more substantial protection product, and it will be easier to work with on a cool surface out of direction sunlight. Graphene Detail Spray, CS3, and Graphene CS3 can be used as drying aids, but they will require more effort than our regular pink Detail Spray. I hope that clears up some confusion. I understand you guys probably hear concerns from customers who go heavy with the product or use it in very warm/ hot temperatures (including direct sunlight)- I have been warned!! As a side note, I did place an order for the fancy blue waffle towels for waterless washing directly from you guys, but I do order my product from a store here in Alberta, Canada called Carzilla. @@AdamsPolishes This mostly answered my question too. I bought Graphene Boost to use as a topper for the Advanced Graphene Ceramic Coating and also as a drying aid. The bottle of Graphene boost says it can be used as a drying aid. Is it fair to assume Graphene Boost will be more difficult to use as a drying aid since it contains more of the graphene resins than Graphene CS3 and Graphene Detail Spray? Perhaps I can offset the added resins in the Graphene boost when using as a drying aid by spraying less than I would if using a detail spray? If you had one graphene product to use as a drying aid (Graphene Details spray, CS3 or Graphene Boost) which would you recommend? Assuming a light colored vehicle and washing in shade at pay and spray facilities. I'd like to keep with the graphene line since I'm assuming it would have the best hydrophobic properties.

I recently tried Graphene Detail Spray and the gloss was good. My paint isn't as slick as it was when I first polished and waxed it in the fall so I need to clay bar and polish before applying the Advanced Graphene Spray. I can't wait to use and apply it.

I did notice Graphene CS3 didn't leave as much streaking on the glass compared to the Graphene Detail Spray

Interesting on not using CS3 or Graphene CS3 as a drying aid in the direct sunlight. It didn't necessarily streak but it did leave some smearing on glass and I noticed it took some rubbing to get the graphene off.

FYI, how I use the Advanced Graphene/Ceramic Spray Coating, is twice a year. Since we experience winters here in the Hartland, I use the Advanced spray coating in the spring & again in the fall. I will use the detail spray about once a month on my wife's daily driver. The SUV will get weekly washes with ONR during the winter months in our garage. We have below freezing temps during the winter, so traditional washes are not an option. The car has the Advanced coating, applied in Oct. of 2020.

That's just about the same process I use on my daily driver as well - heavy decontamination and maybe a very light polish in a few trouble areas twice a year and then apply Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating Advanced. I do winter washes with our Hoseless Wash and then maintenance washes with Mega Foam or Graphene Shampoo when the temps are above 50, and the occasional re-up with Graphene Detail Spray 👍

I live at a busy intersection smog shop and have issues with exhaust residue and iron particle buildup. I just used the Advanced Graphene Coating(AGC) on my wife's white SUV...love the AGC! I have a new Ford Maverick and it's too hot to apply a coating at this time(Norcal) and I can only detail outside. I want to use the AGC but would like to wait until the cooler fall. Can I use Graphene shampoo and Graphene Boost for the new 4-6 months and then do the complete decontaminate, polish, and then apply the AGC or would you recommend not using the Graphene shampoo and Boost prior to applying the AGC and use something else for the next 4-6 months Thanks in advance! To summarize what I heard for maintaining a ceramic coated vehicle in order to enhance the longevity of the coating: 1. Graphene Detail Spray = every wash as drying aid 2. Graphene CS3 = monthly , as quick detailer After drying , assuming you still use the detail spray as a drying aid ?? 3. Graphene Boost AND Shampoo = quarterly , wash car with graphene shampoo > Iron/Tar remover (not mentioned in video but assuming) > clay > Graphene Boost In the quarterly maintenance, do you still use either Graphene detail spray or Graphene CS3 ? Is my summary correct? Thank you. 🙏

Which valve do you recommend to switch between the pressure washer wand and the foam cannon? Basically, so I do not have to keep going back and forth to the hose spigot to turn the water off between switching between the wand and foam cannon?

On most pressure washers, there should be a 1/4" quick connect at the end of the pressure washer wand where you can swap between the spray tips and the foam cannon without having to turn off your water supply. You will just need to make sure that the pressure washer is not operating (spraying) when you swap out between rinsing tips and the foam cannon.

Hi Edward, any pH neutral soap will be safe on the coating. You will want to avoid soaps with carnauba wax additives, as they may not be as compatible with the coating, and could cause it to perform less than optimal. Our standard blue Car Shampoo, Mega Foam, and Graphene Shampoo are all perfectly compatible with our graphene coatings. Our Microfiber Wash Mitt and Microfiber Wash Sponge are both safe, hold large amounts of suds, and rinse easily. I will link them at the bottom of this comment. Lastly, our Ultra Plush Drying Towel works outstanding at drying nearly an entire fullsize sedan without wringing out the towel. Hi,I have a non metallic black Trailblazer SS. I am getting ready to do a 2 step polish followed by the Advanced Graphene spray. Is it safe to use the Graphene detail spray once or twice a week after washing? And would you suggest I still boost every 3 months?

Hi there, I used to have an 08 black TBSS as well! The paint can be tricky to get it to finish down perfectly, so don't get discouraged at first. I would recommend against using Graphene Detail Spray once or twice a week - you will eventually get too much buildup. Once every 2-4 weeks would be better. Then you could use Waterless Wash in between to help take care of dust and so on. Waterless Wash won't build up. Graphene Boost could be used every 3-4 months or so 👍In all honesty, Brilliant Glaze was my best friend on my TBSS and kept it looking good in between a light polishing every 1-2 years.

The reason I ask is I use your 2 step correct & polish about two years ago and literally got it looking like a black mirror, then I have been protecting it with TLC2 until I found you guys. I will be 2 stepping it again shortly and definitely want it protected. What would be the steps and routine you suggest? Thank you so much!

@@strokernotch7937yes you could use Brilliant Glaze over the advanced graphene spray coating, but I would wait at least a week to apply it to make sure the coating is fully cured (the spray coating can get wet after 6 hours, but Brilliant Glaze has some solvent in it, so you would not want to harm the freshly applied spray coating). Brilliant Glaze won't necessarily enhance the hydrophobics, but it will add more shine before a show or car cruise. I wouldn't apply too many layers though, as you don't want to clog up the coating itself. I like to use Graphene Detail Spray about every 1-2 months and then reapply the spray coating every 6 months. For the first application, you will want the surface bare for best bonding, so a clay and iron decon, then two step compound and then polish, followed by surface prep would be ideal to apply Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating Advanced. Then when you reapply it the next time, you may only need a clay or very light polish and then Surface Prep.

I would not use a ceramic coating towel again on the paint. I ceramic coated wheels and the towels were rock hard even after washing with hot water immediately afterwards. Would not wanna risk scratching the paint again

Yep. Once you use the towel or applicator with ceramic coating its a 1 time use thing.

I ceramic coated my car with graphene advanced and noticed my kit came with boost. How long should wait until I apply that for the first time? How long would you wait until you apply any other graphene product after ceramic coating?

Hi Jarod, great questions! We recommend waiting at least 24 hours before applying Boost, as the coating does take a while to cure. We also recommend waiting 5-7 days before washing the vehicle with any type of soap - it can get wet (rain, dew) after 24 hours, but the coating is still curing some at that point, so it's best to wait a week to do a wash with soap/Graphene Shampoo/Mega Foam, etc. Then you could use Graphene Detail Spray or CS3 every 1-2 months, or Graphene Boost about every 3-4 months.
