Honestly, I really liked this.😄 I'd like to see more of it. Also my opinion on the Zelda logo: I really like the new modern look because the cracks/tears or rips give it that legend, old, story timey look and feel. I feel like it just matches the theme. Example like an old book or treasure map.

I think the intention of the Brothership logo is to make it look like the lettering on the side of a ship, since it looks like sailing or something similar will be a big part of the game.

I think the reason the text for "Brothership" is brown and gold is because it's supposed to be a "ship" aesthetic, like a wooden ship with gold plating I guess. Now that you've said it, I can't get the brick idea out of my head. I also feel like for Prime 4 the whole purple deal is a portal thing, hence the "Beyond."

i think with Echoes of Wisdom, the logo makes more sense to me if the correlation between BotW and it not being in theming, but instead in the open style of game they both seem to be. idk why awakening had the same style of logo in that vein of logic tho

Actually, the traditional ampersand replaced the wacky E one in the final logo of Dream Team. The one shown in this video is an earlier version of the logo. I think the actual Brothership part of the new logo is very poor. It looks very amateur, the colors clash, they have weird textures on them, and the outlines are very thin. The Japanese logo for the game is SO much better.

The Japanese logo uses the exact same colours and textures though, it's just in a different language, if you think it works in Japanese then it works in English because the language is literally the only difference.

For the M&L series, Bowser's Inside Story and Dream Team by far had the best logos imo. Super clean and everything works together well. For Superstar Saga and Partners in Time, it was clunky but for the time I suppose it was ok. Paper Jam obviously leans into the Paper Mario reference but I'm not huge on how it looks together with the Mario & Luigi part, though the new ampersand is nice, but for similar reasons I'm not too fond of Brothership cause idk it looks a bit tacky to me
