That Superman The Exile and Other Stories omnibus is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. One of my favorite reads. The new Death and Return omnibus is a beauty. I finally read it recently. So worth it.

Plus wanna add I love the keron gillen run when uncanny relaunched at #1 because the team was the most powerful team by far! Namor, magneto, Emma frost, danger, juggernaut colossus, magik like WOW I was disappointed that the run was cut short cuz of avengers vs X men event and we all know where that went! Also after whilce portacio run on punisher he was followed by Erik Larsen ....strange lol 😝

I love his run, I think he is one of the most underrated X-men writers. I like both Portacio and Larsen Equally.

The Puma Blues is one of my all-time favorites. Zulli just excels at drawing pretty nature scenery. The best part is that completely worldess sequence that just depicts a bunch of animals going about their nightly routine. Be careful with that book though, mine cracked apart.

That independent-looking artwork is hands-down far superior to the majority of modern Marvel and DC art. It is almost reminiscent of the kind of artwork I used to see in my old, illustrated Shakespeare collections.

Carl Barks is the man, of course. All time Duck favorite of mine. Think I bought the German version of that story just last year before Christmas. Might have to get that Superman omnibus as well, I think. (WTF are there so few (more recent) Superman omnis, anyway? DC...) Been buying/reading mostly DC this February (incl. first week of March): WW by Simone omni (+ the Conan/WW crossover), Harleen HC, finally bought Johns' first Green Lantern omni + DC New Frontier absolute. Also got Berserk Vol. 3; and on the European comics front, one collected edition of Valerian & Corto Maltese each + Conan's "Red Nails" in the French album version...

I love Frank Miller’s Daredevil run. For a long while I thought Brian Michael Bendis’s Daredevil was the apex of the Comic format. I was and still am in awe of it. But Mark Waid’s Daredevil is my favourite Daredevil book. Ahead of Miller, ahead of Bendis. Mark Waid’s Daredevil set the new standard. It is that good.
