Thanks for this video! I have the SE paul's guitar and wasn't sure the graphtech ones would retrofit the vintage style tuners. Seems like they do then!

Why no footage of actual movement of the tuners, tuning up, tuning down, to drop d for instance. Show us how well, how easily they manage this necessary fuction.

I didn’t think of that, might make a follow up with that footage.

I installed a set of these on my S2 Vela, and have enjoyed them over the OEM tuner’s …how do you feel about them after a period of time? any issues
@vaiisking2 жыл бұрын
This is the most precise guitar I’ve ever owned. It never ever goes out of tune. I accidentally dropped it on its face the other day, still in perfect tune. They made a huge difference.

If you're on the lower strings does it actually take more turns, /longer turns to get to the same note as if you were on a standard set of tuners? Say you need to go from low e to drop D, do you have to turn this gear more or less times compared to a regular tuner?

I think they feel the same to me.

Next time try a 1/4 inch drive deep socket to press out the ferrules.

Good video man. What about the ferrule... Did the Graphtech ferrule fit in the tuner hole? You know the Kluson ferrule you struggled to push out of the hole? That hole!
@vaiisking2 жыл бұрын
Yeah once I got out the bushing it fit perfectly.

It's Kluson, btw, not Klutzen. Only saying cause you asked in the video.

Much appreciated. I’m so bad remembering names.

I know its a really really old video and you wont see this. But you should always wrap your strings around the pegs once or twice for tuning stability and sustain. I put my hand sideways at the 12th fret and thats how much slack I allow for every string, Then lock and tighten and cut
@vaiisking10 ай бұрын
Not a bad idea. I just figured that 'locked down' wouldn't matter how many (or lack of) wraps I have around the peg.

I used to think the same. I have a friend that was a guitar tech for a really big band that set up my gibson les paul and ESP and i asked him why he strung it like that. That was hes reason. Ive done it since i suppose. @@vaiisking
