Grasshopper Tutorial for Beginners | Rhino 3d

I've been using Rhino for decades, but new to the idea of Grasshopper. What's the benefit to using GH for 3dm instead of just building the geometry directly in Rhino?

In grasshopper you can set various parameters for different components. It just makes the modelling easier compared to manual way of creating geometries or making changes to them. It just saves time. And you can achieve more complex geometries using mathematical equations.

Hi. You can connect multiple components into a single input by holding the Shift key and then connecting it.

I saw an animation in linked for showing data which was visually pleasing, comment mentioned about making it in GH. Can you suggest how to get into this, downloading GH and what is Rhino? Where do I begin from? My work will mainly consist showing data related to natural disasters and hazards

hi there, when i only seem to be able to connect 1 geodesic curve at a time to the "curve" input at the pipe command, may i know what might be the problem?

Just hold shift while adding

Holding shift will let you select and connect various curves at a time in a single input command. This works for all the other commands also.
