Good Comparison! Grasshopper will be competitor to Dynamo in Revit platform as well as Rhino 7 will be equipped with the plug-in for Revit, Rhino Inside Revit. Revit users will not have to think about which one is better for them any longer soon.

Agreed - Rhino Inside Revit looks very promising. I'm not sure how Autodesk can keep Dynamo as popular once that happens.

if i know grasshopper, will it be more easier to learn dynamo?

I'd say yes. They are quite similar in principal with many similar components.

Thanks for the video, good info. Do these systems also integrate the member design or does that still require export / interface with Spacegas or FEA programs?
@StructuredParametrics
@StructuredParametrics 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. There are several good design and FEA plugins within grasshopper which means you don't have to export/interface anymore. Depth of functionality of the plugins is generally on the lighter side though so it depends how complex or feature rich you need your analysis to be.

good video.. i would like ask you something, i'm using blender but i dont know if that software is parametric software.. so u can explain me that ? sorry for bother you with my question

Blender can have parametric elements although I haven't used it much so don't know how quick the workflow is. It means an input can control geometry or other properties of objects. As an example that input could be a slider so as you move your mouse a wall would grow or shrink. However there is a lot more that can be done with this concept - even to the point where a script can design a whole building based on you drawing a rectangle!

Can Dynamo be used to model things in Tekla or it works only with autodesk (Robot)?
@StructuredParametrics
@StructuredParametrics 2 жыл бұрын
It's possible from what we have seen in the past. Not sure how good the tools are and if they are supported by Tekla themselves as we have not tried this workflow.

if i use revit i have to learn first rhinoceros or can i learn just grashhopper to use with revit
@StructuredParametrics

Now you can use grasshopper directly inside Revit. You don't need to use Rhino if you don't want to.

I’m a bit confused whether I should focus using Revit or Rhino .. but in Revit it’s very easy to insert blocks model such as doors / windows / stairs/ table chair/ etc ... or maybe does Rhino’s also have that kind of blocks too?? or we still should create it manually? cause i’m still beginner for learning Rhino 🥺

Depends what you want to achieve. Revit is used throughout the industry more towards final documentation. Rhino is more simple but fast and flexible. It is more useful for early stages of a project. If in doubt Revit skills will probably be more recognised as everyone comes into contact with it these days.

@@StructuredParametrics I'm a rhino grasshopper trainer and I know the incredible potential, however companies probably need Revit users more at this point. I agree with your point. (Only if you have to choose one of course....the best is both ;) )

I don't think you do really. We use grasshopper every day and hardly use the actual Rhino program at all. Rhino is pretty easy to use though having said that.
