Interesting video nice to see a young guy doing well for himself. Hats off to him speaking so highly of his staff as he knows he would be lost with out them. Would like to see more of these kinda videos from Grassmen TV

That 8360 looks tidy and will probably still be going long after the JDs computer modules have given up and made them nothing more than an expensive paper weight, it’s such a shame none of the manufacturers are making tractors like the 60/TM series anymore as to my mind they had just the right amount of helpful tech but still simple enough to service and repair on the farm 🛠🚜👍🏻

How are the men with the dribble bars finding the use of flowmeters on the equipment? Would a nutrient calculator be the next step?
@Grassmen2 жыл бұрын
NIR sensors are there in some applications. So I guess you are right. Target spreading nutrients will be mainstream very soon we believe.

How does it work the Irish contractors working in Scotland? Scottish contractors not keen enough?
@Jorge-mm6ym2 жыл бұрын
We farm just outside Dundee where that lad says they come over to work. Over the past 5 years or so a fair few AD plants have sprung up, traditionally the focus has always been on grain, potatoes and veg in this area, so the farmers/contractors in this area aren’t really set up for forage harvesting, spreading slurry, etc. So you tend to get a fair few Irish lads coming over as they tend to be much better set up and suited to that sort of work.

Yeah it's pretty much in for helping harvest and out again 😆 🤣 😂

Why not just use the tanks to spread the slurry on the field?
@zzirSnipzz12 жыл бұрын
More compaction and mess, although either spreading straight of having a slurry trailer even quicker as tractors just fill into trailer and go for next load. For example with the big wheels on an On-top my dad was able to go in places the farmer couldnt walk in his wellies, and that TS will be even lighter because it doesnt have a 2000gallon tanker on the back lol

FairPlay to him but I’d say 90% of the money he makes he doesn’t even see getting that big so quick..
