This might be the greatest Dark Star ever or 44 minutes of aimless noodling.. take your pick, I’m leaning toward the latter. However, HCS is definitely one of the most interesting versions, a nice Row Jimmy, China Rider etc.

The "Row Jimmy" is probably Jerry's best vocal performance of the song ever. The "Dark Star" is the longest ever, but definitely not the best. 2/13/70 is a pretty decent "Dark Star" from the golden age of "Dark Stars". I'm partial to the pre Keith era when it comes to the psychedelic tunes.

It's a sounboard recording, so it was never "miked" but I get it. It's a fantastic live recording with incredible engineering during the remaster. Most Charlie Miller boards are excellent quality to start.

An iconic year is 73. The only Here Come Sunshines that mattered (Vince 😫🙉), the dancin TLEO, the Feelin Groovy Chinacats, the diminished scale Eyes, the Jerry slide Row Jimmys. And the explosive boards!! I missed you WOS during Days Between but this was absolutely a fine reemergence of you. Fabulous artwork as usual. Thank you WOS! Oh this Stella Blue. My brother and I were at this show at Public Hall. It’s been said GD hated it so much that they didn’t come back to Cleveland for FOUR years. Aside from the music I recall groupies who scaled the 30-40 foot risers being LAUNCHED back down into the crowd as it was General Admission. Early version of stage diving except nobody bothered trying to catch them. Folks just stepped out of the way. That was the year we were selling actual Panama Red. Twenty years later we went to our anniversary show at Cleveland Coliseum not knowing Jerry would be gone shortly. Maybe a hundred shows in between but will NEVER forget the first. Or the last. Thanks for making this available. It reminds me to, “enjoy every sandwich.” It goes SO fast. 🦊🖤🐾☕️🚬🎶

Best years for the band in my opinion. 70-74 is where I wind up most of the time. Sometimes I pop over to 76-77 if I'm feeling like a mood, but 70-74 is where the fun is.

Man..... Probably the best show of Their's, I ever experienced, just now. Wow!!! Now it's on to the next show, but this one is getting saved in my archives. Everything about this show says, "Masterpiece". I'm listing to this on some BOSE headphones, and the panning is driving me wild. Great boards. The Band is so so hot that night. What a sweet set list too. They covered all my favorites, and then some, and great versions of them all. I started the show, riding my mower, doing my lawn. That was hours ago. What an amazing ride. What an amazing experience. My wife wants me to come in from the garage, and I'm telling her, "Show's almost over babe. Only one hour left". I'm finishing the show before going in. Lol. I fucking love this band. GREATEST BAND EVER IN THE WORLD.... EVER!!!!!! ✌🏽

Think they were written at the same time one after the other so they tend to bleed at times. Think chinacat getting paired with rider made that song take off while sunshine got shelved what if sunshine ran into rider and instead those two became a duo?
