Saw this tour at Long Beach Civic, it was my first Dead show and saw many more up until 95' Looking back, I really think the energy and tightness of the band was at its peak in this era.

I saw this tour and show at the spectrum in Phila...this song seemed like an eternity-still one of my favorites. Never A die hard dead fan but...hard to image anyone not loving the music and the shows. Barefoot girls, Pachouli in the air- stir frys - kind and spors... Jerry was one of a kind. NY with Dylan was a good show...

I love it when Jerry smiles. Bobby doing his thing, Phil holding it down....dang yo...super cool....percussion on point, superb.

I shaved my head in mourning when Jerry died (in contrast to the ritual of NOT shaving until after the funeral) and it is still shaven today. My 17 year old son can't ever remember seeing me with hair, but he remembers Monkey and the engineer being his favorite lullaby

Brent had the perfect piano runs for this song in 87 , 88 , 89 etc Brent was SO Good ..... I remember when the bootleg video of this 2nd and 3d sets used to circulate in the early 90 s . Now ' Ticket to new year s ' has it all in one disc . I think the GD release folks should take a gander into 1988 Dead . There s lots of really worthy stuff to show , videowise . Although i think the Philly show from july 8 9 was a great choice for a video release .....

When all else fails, you can forensically date an 80's Dead video---roughly---by Phil's Modulus basses, since he went through so damned many of them in the 80's. He was sporting this carbon-fiber faced one most of '87. As you were, carry on now.

They make it look so easy. Playing the guitar is hard yo !!! I'll stick with wind instruments thank you !!! ABSOULUTELY INCREDIBLE>...I'd love to know how they pulled this off, how do they do it ? Amazing !!! I suppose it just comes naturally I don't know. This is a good Terrapin recording right here. Sounds even better live !!!!!!!!!! AWESOME !!!!!! GRATEFUL DEAD FOREVER !!!
