That photo looks like it's from '89. This is my 13th birthday show, wish I'd been there. Say my first show 6 months & 6 days later in Providence though. That was a life changer.

My all time favorite Scarlet > Fire, and one of my al time favorite shows, but tough to say that because almost every show of this tour is legendary. Lake Placid, St Stephen breakouts, etc etc

This was, simply put, brilliant beyond words, stripping time of its powers to define. I have not heard this for at least 20+ years, was there several rows in front of Jerry but more importantly had perfect position close to Stage Speakers to be able to hear how the 6 of these guys truly let the music play the band (while all being band leaders). OK, I love the technical prowess of J. Mayer and he gets it (best lead "Dead" guitarist since '95) but he has a long way to go to approach the guitar as a mechanism to drive emotion and feeling like JG could IMHO..but this ScarFire has the boys completely Engaged & contributing to the discussion......it really begins to jive as They Let her Pass By, let her pass by......terrific outtro transition and another conversation begins, a sudden, full throated turn by rhythm section quarter, an idea then thrown out by Bobby and expanded upon by Jerry....Brent filling out the sound and then finds a suddle groove that Phil evaluates and is the first to "pick" up on (he really was more like the 3rd guitarist white often, dont you think) and it just gets more interesting and more mesmerizing......Jerry is being JERRY during Fire and the boys know the fat man is feeling it and this is a case of the GD Boat raising the waves! WOO HOO...Wave after wave. I istened to bootleg of this daily for years and it was 1st bootleg I wore out (I recalled at time that VAN HALEN #1 waa 1st album I wore down and had to buy again....check I was in 7th grade 79) and had to find someone to tape me another copy. I agree best Scarlet Fire (altho can't argue SPAC/NY 1983- just raw energy starting with Mickey and Billy, always a good 30 minutes time well spent, or FOX/ATLANTA 1980-sound so full/rich your auditory sense s can't handle it all....turn volume up a little and you are seeing this music! Bottom Line-Most underrated SCARLET FIRE ever is Worcester Centrum 10-21-83. CMON guys put this out so this date can be etched in the minds eye of many more music aficionados

Hey now! My first show. 12 row floor Jerry's side, first check in. Needless to say, I got hooked. This boot never gets old.

First time hearing this and agree on all fronts! I thought the SPAC show that Spring when I saw Scar>Fire was smokin but this is ridiculous. Thank you!

I guess it is obvious, but that photo was definitely not 10-21-83. For what it's worth.
