I don't care what anyone says, Jerry Garcia was the best guitar player of all time. He was the master at playing the right note at the right time.
@STSGuitar16 Жыл бұрын
Such a great vocal quality to his playing. When you hear him play, it doesn't immediately strike you as "oh this is a guitar solo," it's almost closer to a human voice than a guitar. Part of what made him so special.

What those commenting on Jerome’s’ exceptional abilities may not realize is, just like a great pilot, Jerry does not “think” about the music. It comes out without effort ( unless he is impaired) Just like the fighter pilot bobbing and twisting thru the air, Jerry belts out the notes in a rhythm metered only by the limits of his mind - he probably “sees” the music like we would watch fall leaves swirling in a stiff wind. Yes, that is beyond genius. We got to see and hear it played - into posterity. God bless the Dead.

I can’t stop listening to this. I love the Dead, but Jerry is my favorite, and I find myself listening to the JGB more and more. 100% Jerry.

Just dropped 12 years of verbal ammo on my girl. Sometimes love will make you shoulder the blame for a decade. Until you won't. Shared some of this chorus with her yesterday. If you know someone who lacks the ability to feel emotions don't bother to spread the JGB or GD love with them. How could they possibly understand? For my money JG has everything I could want and more than I can imagine in a guitar player. His ability to express emotions in his solos are uncanny. 60% of the time he blows my mind every time.

"That's What Love Will Make You Do" (Little Milton composition) Oh, when I hear your name I start to shake inside, yes I do When I see you stroll I lose my self-control But that's what love will do for you That's what love will make you do, oh yeah No matter how hard I fight it Oh, I'm still in love with you Listen, if you're ever in need There's no limit to what I'll do I'll work eight days a week And give it all to you 'Cause that's what love will do for you That's what love will make you do No matter how hard I fight it Oh, I'm still in love with you Oh, that's right, alright Listen, when they speak of beauty You can stand the test, yes you can When they talk about makin' love Baby, you're the best, but yes you are I don't want to brag about you too much And give others ideas But I'm tryin' hard to express myself 'Cause baby, that's the way I feel That's what love will do for you That's what love will make you do, oh yeah No matter how hard I fight it Baby, I'm still in love with you, yeah
