Flying the vintage Graupner Foka 2,6 m at the Grasshill. First time flying from this hill this season and also the first time sloping the Foka with the new wings/tailplane/rudder that was a nice little scratch build winter project.

That wing tip angle is really cool on the flybys.

Naise! 🙂 Grasshill open for use again .. all year? Gotta love that little hill 😅 Feels like Teletubbies' land .. safe and soft .. no rocks to crush models. I'm a Dipsy kinda person myself.

Beautiful flyer sir. I brought one back from the UK about the same timeframe, still in the box…waiting. Did you use carbon for spars in the wing? Didn’t notice any spoiler or flap activity?

No carbon. No flaps. No spoilers. "Spoilerons" - look at this video around landings. Then check out the winter-build video from the earlier Facebook post.

@@maxrobertson5061 I thought I saw two ailerons turned upwards on the landing, but it was rather quick. Interesting vid showing the flex in the wings, I’d say a fairly stiff breeze that day:)

Yes I use the ailerons as spoilerons on this one, It is working pretty good :)

Love watching you fly but unfortunately can’t watch onboard footage anymore, brain haemorrhage left me feeling like I’m actually on that wing!!! Sounds crazy I know, severe visual vertigo, ahh well, should have been more careful with that grinder!!!😂😂😂
