Wow. A piece of history and yes, it means many things. Good and bad, design-wise but I mean... what a lovely car. Amazing to get such a good close-up 'look-at'. My jaw just dropped at those looks. What an artist ol Virgil was.

looks good, sounds good, that big Desoto V8. I put one into my 1958 Plymouth back in the 60s. Nice motor.

Absolutely one of my favorite cars! It's too bad they couldn't get the color of the front fenders to match the rest of the car

If American automakers made fiberglass or aluminum reproductions of these classics with hybid or electric motors they would have a waiting list of buyers. These cars had 2 things that modern cars lack STYLING + ROOM! I love the bench seat so my girl can snuggle next to me and the truck is so big it could carry a small Rhino😃

This car has dual headlights. I've seen other '57' DeSotos with single head-lights.

Some States didn't allow dual headlamps in '57, so certain models were produced to accommodate both. I know Mercury did this as well.

Chrysler held off rolling out the quad headlight Adventurerer until after January 1, 1957, when all 48 states were allowed to have cars, equipped with quad headlights, on the road.

Why do the front quarter panels not seem to match the color of the hood or the doors right behind them? I don't want to be a party pooper, but something here just isn't right, and I don't get it. I've looked and looked.

The front fenders appear a shade darker than the rest of the car..

they were pretty cars, but dangerous, in an accident the doors would fly open and throw the occupants out into the street.
