I used to dance to this song in the underground alternative clubs in Toronto back in the 80’s. I hadn’t heard it in decades and had completely forgotten about it, and then I heard it in the movie, My Life As A Courgette (Zucchini). At first I was like, “this is awesome”, then, “wait this seems familiar”, and then finally, “OMG, I love this song, I forgot it ever existed, as soon as the movie is over I have to find it”. I found it. 😀. BTW, if you have not seen that movie, you should.

The worldwide echo was totally unexpected by the authors I guess. 20 years ago our local big band played this live in Wiesbaden park . Approximately 2000 people singing and dancing. As we knew it's one of the "nightbirds" cover band favourites minutes before the stage was bombed with "Eisbär" shoutings! When the first three tunes were played by them the public echo was tremendous ! Anyway its great to know so many people love to listen to this German lyrics .
