Y'all know I love tie dye EVERYTHING so I was really excited to test out this kit using a Tie Dye string machine- its supposed to be quicker, easier & less messy- what do y'all think? Would you try it? Or pass?

Bunny you are supposed to wet the fabric not the string THEN put it in a bag sealed. It works SOOOOOOO well when it comes out of the bag it looks like the box. It's in the instructions

Um you should have looked at the KZbin videos on how to do it. The pods are supposed to be dry and it more of an overnight project so the dye can penetrate all the layers

@@GreenHatPanda but the pamphlet wasn't that small. It had a bunch of other directions on there. You'd think a step that's critical to the product working would be there. How much space would it have taken up to write "place item in bag and leave overnight "

I think your case needed to be more wet.. The strings probably was supposed to be dry then release the dye when in contact with super wet item.. maybe dunk the items while strings were still wrapped..

As someone who has used this before you should run water on it afterwards then put it in a bag overnight and yes the string is supposed to be dry

we tie dyed our artclub shirts with dye string that was from the 70s and it worked really well. we boiled the water and added salt i think.

I went and watched another video on this and the strings are supposed to be dry and you are supposed to make sure the fabric is good and wet and then you put the whole thing in a bag so it stays wet and leave it for a day.
