I used to have that issue 24/7 when my hair was to my waist. I find that if you put oil in damp to dry hair, that it stays untangled for longer. I think the oil kind of gives a barrier that helps the hair not tangle as much. I like argon oil, CHI's Silk Infusion, and Healthy Sexy Hair's Soy Renewal oil; I find they keep the hair moisturized but not looking greasy. Idk if that would help you or not, but I hope you have a lovely day

I love, love, love "Does This Thing Really Work" !! So glad I tuned in today, because I swear, I was born with knots in my hair.........all my life it's been an ongoing problem and I finally gave up on it. I don't have chemically treated hair, it's just baby fine and will knot so tight, even if you just look at it, it knots. I am definitely going to give this a try, since I'm out of options. I've tried everything under the sun, leave in conditioners, which left me with helmet head hair, I tried really wide-toothed combs..........ok, but not perfect and sometimes I get so frustrated I take scissors and chop out the knot. It's truly amazing to me how, at the end of just a regular day, that so many knots can form in ones head of hair. Knots that are so tight, you really have to wonder how that's even possible. Even my hairdresser tried olive oil to work them out and now I just keep my hair super short to keep the knots down a bit. So yeah, this is definitely a ''must try"......last desperate attempt at the dreaded knots !! Yow!!

I thoroughly enjoyed watching your hair become detangled. I know you like to wear your hair in styles that are a little messy looking, but I loved watching you comb it out nice a smooth. I think that product is a winner too, compared to other detangling products I've seen tested. You did lose some hairs, but a lot of detanglers break a lot more hairs and some of those could have already been broken and just caught in the rest of your hair, which does account for most the hair that gets collected in a brush when anyone with long hair brushes their hair. Overall, minimal pain, minimal breakage. Seems great.
@alongzoo245 жыл бұрын
I also find it easier to brush hair damp/wet/in the shower, I thought I was crazy lol I'm glad someone else thinks that way too. I also find if you have issues with your hair instantly tangling after brushing, using a hair oil focused towards the middle and ends usually helps. I like to use argon oil, CHI's Silk Infusion, and Healthy Sexy Hair's Soy Renewal oil; I find they keep the hair moisturized but not looking greasy. I hope you're having a wonderful day 💕

I always thought you should comb your hair wet? Plus, if I am correct, then you never put conditioner on dry hair anyway. It has to be damp.

It depends on that tensile strength of your hair whether you should detangle it dry or wet. Your hair is a lot like mine and we wear it long so combing out damp is easier. Always comb from ends up. Just as you did here. I am a hairdresser and have been doing hair for over 35 years.💜💜💜💜💜

I'm going to get this. I just hope it works for curly hair just as well. The reason you're not supposed to brush your hair wet is because hair is weaker when wet. It's like the cuticle is open from the shower and the hair stretches and snaps. I'm not sure because I feel the same as you. I see way more breakage when my hair is dry. I stopped brushing all together and just use a large detangling shower comb but it's really tough to get it all because my hair is long like yours too. This may help. Great video!!!
