I usually clean my brushes with a dot of extra virgin olive oil, and a bit of non-concentrated Dawn dish soap. It sounds odd but it moisturizes the brush and helps extract all the makeup that's stuck deep into the brush.

I am a makeup artist and I have been using the Stylepro over 6 months and it is a lifesaver for me. When cleaning cream/liquid makeup off my brushes, I dunk them first in clean water and while holding the brush downwards, I massage a tiny bit of baby shampoo into the bristles before putting into the bowl and they come out 99.9% of the time spotless 😊

Guys, there is all types of bacteria that accumulates on your face & brushes everyday. 1.Its not sanitary 2. Even if you can notice changes in your skin that doesn't mean there is none. Wash your brushes 1-2 times a month or even at the end of every week.

ayam kalasan - I know the feeling, I used to freak out wondering if I closed and locked my car door, so I would get up in a dead sleep go to the car and check, then freak out if I locked the main door.. it was a endless nights for me as a kid. now that I'm married my husband wakes up if I get up to check and had to assure me that everything is fine. best way to make yourself know that you've locked the door write it in a white board on your door while your bedroom door is closed of course and you'll be fine.. hang in there :3

What I do is do a once over wash on all of them with the same liquid and then I change the liquid and do them all again. if I notice the water is getting cloudier than just from soap/it foaming from the spinning I'll change it again. But it's so worth it if you're prone to acne or just clogged pores, irritation etc. I have rosacea and occasional cystic acne outbreaks along with generally just sensitive skin so it's wonderful imo. I do witch hazel or tea tree instead of alcohol btw, it's still antiseptic but it's way less drying on the brushes.

the reason there is still makeup residue on the concealer brush is because Murad's cleanser is not meant to be used on brushes, it does not break down makeup. Since you are sensitive Bunny, using Philosophy's Purity would be a better option as it will actually break down the left over makeup.

I concur... might be dangerous though...lol and ruin face and brushes (get cheap brushes)....
@Poetassassin8 жыл бұрын
Well if you think about it isn't that the amount of water you would use to clean the brushes by hand compared to if you had to keep replacing the water after each brush. Idk I wouldn't find it wasteful. I'm sure I'd waste more water by keeping the faucet running to clean my brushes.
@Poetassassin8 жыл бұрын
And same for the soap, wouldn't you just use a dollop of soap for each brush to clean it so it would be the same amount as this cleaner. Idk
@TaffyMichele8 жыл бұрын
I really like what Shaaanxo wound up doing where she just rubbed the bristles on a solid brush cleanser for a few seconds and used the machine to rinse it. It was still super fast!

I use baby shampoo. I might try wiping them afterwards with the alcohol. Sounds like it could kill more acne germs.

@ginkgothestink-o69498 жыл бұрын
madkatt333 germs don't break you out, mate! Pimples appear when a pore is clogged by sebum and dead skin. The bacteria, which is healthy and is always on your face, then finds a happy home in that oily, clogged pore.
@samaragreene53688 жыл бұрын
Germs can cause acne because sebum and dirt have germs in them soooo.. madkat333 is right it is a good idea to dip it in the alcohol after wash the brush. I'm not saying that ur wrong about the pore thing but just by walking around throughout the day dirt and germs cause clogged pores, therefore causing acne and breakouts

I made my own "disenfecter spray" by getting a small spray bottle and adding rubbing alcohol, water Micellular water and evoo boom works great i use it after each use ....when I'm not in a rush 👌😂
@josephinev.catlady51828 жыл бұрын
That's what my sister told me to do also not the alcohol but I am going to try it I buy cheap brushes anyway not to worried if they don't last a year 6 months is fine by me. plus I love buying new brushes. 😁 I saw someone say they put baby oil or olive oil in with the soap to keep them soft just a dot of oil. I'm going to do a controlled test and see.

This is super cool, my only thing is that it leaves dried soap on your brush. Like you go straight from a soapy brush to drying it. I think it should be dipped in clean water before drying.

🎁 Happy new year Bunny😘 try using just a tiny amount of water.... and centrifugal force is a mighty thing 💥
@Shari_Jessica238 жыл бұрын
Јована Коциќ I don't mean to be a hater 😂, but centrifugal force doesn't exist. That's just inertia
@jovana_kocic8 жыл бұрын
Shari oh ok... Inertia with a specific direction.
@sammyhall36528 жыл бұрын
+Јована Коциќ I vote for you
@Emilyspace_8 жыл бұрын
Shari You can't really say centrifugal force "doesn't exist" because it does, just from a different reference frame. It's a reactionary force due to angular acceleration, which very much does exist when the object that is rotating is also moving away from the point of rotation. Hence, the bristles get splayed out and water is pulled off of them.
@Shari_Jessica238 жыл бұрын
There is no opposing force to centripetal force, it's only the object's tendency to resist following the rotational motion, aka inertia.
@alexanderleatherman8 жыл бұрын
If you want to wash your brushes quickly use dish soap. If they are natural bristles or you want nicer feeling brushes, add an oil while cleaning such as almond or coconut oil to the dish soap. This will remove EVERYTHING.
