The ending is so funny just all chaos, an absolute clown show, nobody trying to call the cops, truck driver doesn’t start the truck but instead hops out and keeps running around, the lady enters and leaves the truck, the pickup truck driver sees this whole commotion going on and still decides to drive through it, tries to dodge the bloody lady but then decides to let her hop in the back 😂😂

48:52 In his prime Grandpa probably killed the slaughterhouse animals and later people after the family lost their jobs with a hammer in 1 shot but his grandsons couldn't accept he was too decrepit to even hold it by the time of the 1st film.

The hitchhiker is Ed Neal. Bill Mosley played his twin brother in the first sequel, and later Drayton in Chainsaw 3D.
@billyrichards8834

WASN'T his twin brother. He played the same character, only in a darker/comedic way. Texas Chainsaw 2 was more comedy ... than horror.
@jackcarter5101

@@billyrichards8834 Wrong. The hitchhiker was killed by a truck at the end of the original. Chop Top from the sequel is his twin brother who was serving in Vietnam at the time of the original. The plate on his head is from a machete wound in Vietnam, as he said in the film. The 'puppet' that chop top carried around in the sequel is the mummified corpse of the hitchhiker, his twin brother.

As I said. It was a slapstick farce of the movie, as was "Airplane" to "Airport 77." He also played the cook in Texas Chainsaw. He wasn't a twin to ANYBODY. But, whatever. I'm RIGHT! OWN UP!
@jackcarter5101
@jackcarter5101 Жыл бұрын
@@billyrichards8834 "The cook" (aka Drayton Sawyer) is Jim Siedow, not Ed Neal or Bill Moseley! You are talking about a completely different character.

32:41 Yeah the hitchhiker made the majority of the bone furniture in the Sawyer house. And the flashes at the start were him taking photos of the bodies he dug up.

This movie will give you a lot of nightmares. This movie was inspired by a true story about Ed Gein. He was also crazy too and the people of Plainfield, Wisconsin didn't want to talk about him after what happened. I know because I live in Wisconsin.

Italian giallo slashers (like Bay of Blood) definitley predate this, and of course Psycho (the other Ed Gein inspired slasher) but TCM is in a class of it's own.

Tracy, the instrument that you're thinking of is called a theremin. Pretty sure that's what you're referring to as far as the crazy weird sound effects. By the way I love you guys work. I subscribed about a week ago and I've watched almost all your videos already. You're both adorable and Tracy you're gorgeous. I love the way you're like a chameleon. Never know what you're going to be wearing and you're always beautiful. Rock on ya'll. 😉

great reaction! This film is a true modern Era game changer along with Night of the Living dead (Without these film makers Horror would be much different) Texas Chainsaw in my top 10 horror list so important.. It’s a shame the film made huge money but, nobody involved with it made a dime (The film itself was only distributed to launder money for the mob) 👍

The first movie considered to set off the slasher genre is Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho" (1960). Which if you haven't seen it you have to watch it. A must see.

01:04. You are actually spot on with that statement. If you read the book based version of the story, he's actually quite psychotic, and he tries to justify his re-animation experiments as "pushing science to beyond death", even after repeated experiments end with very violent creations, he never stops and his paranoia only grew with time. In the book version, it ended with a cosmic karma ending. :)

54:18. If you are into legends, there is Slenderman and The Rake, neither of which were good movies, but it's good for checking if you want to add some "horror lore and rules" to your knowledge base. I would, however, rather recommend local legends and legend-esque movies - most are nothing but b-movie fare, but some of them tend to at least try new stuff (although not every one of them lands okay). There's also knockoffs/rip-offs that you can consider within the horror genre (like the Roger Corman movies). :)

56:25. And the NASCAR racing scene... and the eye laser surgery scene... and the airplane engine scene, etc. The thing with Final Destination, however, is that Death itself is after you as the villain, because the survivors of the initial event was supposed to die and it comes to collect its due. Just like the Ring, the general idea they went in the later movies is that by someone stopping the initial event from happening, it's a ripple event, which is why all the later events happened. They have never, however, explained fully why the "visions" happen, or how it always comes to one specific individual only. Man, I wish they could make another entry in the Final Destination again - not a reboot! (because the movie series doesn't need a reboot - each entry is pretty much a standalone).

56:49. As multiple movies showed us there is no point in trying to "Death-proof" your surroundings in a Final Destination movie - the obvious angle there being that Death will get you regardless of what you do and you're pretty much just delaying the inevitable. Plus, there's the "rules" of Final Destination that you have to consider. :/ Also, whoever cast Tony Todd as the Mortician (I still maintain he is an avatar of Death as a fan theory), deserves a medal. It literally SELLS the first movie. :/

57:14. A jump scare lover, you said? You're gonna LOVE 90s, '00s and '10s horror movies then? XD Also, any chance of highlighting some Hammer horror movies as well somewhere in the future? I can highly recommend them for a not too hectic movie review for your co-host, since many of those movies rely on tension/atmosphere and not jump scares?
