Is this the motor you're building with the new cylinders?I won't name it as it's your's to say when you do it.I'm ready to build mine as I'm set to wire lights on my current,and am going to build another bike with my new cylinder.Won't show until Halloween.

Just a top end rebuild, and removing the reed. But will be trying a bigger carb... I still have the iron sleeve cylinder, but it's a back up to one of the pk80s.

Man, I had a brand new motor I was breaking in. Admittedly I did run it a bit hard for break in but wow. I just pulled the head and jug yesterday and wtf. The piston rings are like gone on one side of the piston. There's a really nice score on the top of the Piston above the compression ring. I assume that may have been a piece of piston ring I don't know what else could have scored it like that. It did seem that the cylinder walls were all good until I ran my finger around it, I can clearly see or feel the spot where it scratch the cylinder wall along with putting a nice indent in the piston. Also spun a bearing in the bottom, turns she had a leaking crank seal, and upon inspection of the drive gear, which was the catastrophic failure of the second motor, if all those other things didn't happen to the first one that gear was also on its way out. Turns out the vendor on Amazon I was buying these from was selling the old design as well I believe they were probably Factory Rejects. I couldn't even get through break-in. With both of them. Just mounted a new one that is not the LD80 stamped on the jug base but rather 7NM. And I noticed a lot of things about that motor were a lot better. Things that the general layman would miss. Different motor, different vendor, the new design, third time's the charm. Right now I'm fighting with the chain. It's weird I take a link out and it's too short I put a Link in and it's too long. However I think I was just doing it in haste yesterday and not really paying attention to how many links I was popping out how many others putting back and so on and so forth. I'm hoping to have better luck today yesterday was fighting to get it done before sundown. Wish I could just force my Motors in the catastrophic failure like that instead of it just happening when I don't want it to.😂

I was wondering what your opinion is regarding the 4 stroke kits, are they at all viable for off-road use?
@LAHover4 жыл бұрын
I trust Nick, and after seeing his videos with the 4 stroke I am thinking about garbing one soon. More reliable (after upgrading the transmission parts). The three main things that held me back were fitting to a frame, lack of "performance" parts, and the price. But now the price of 2 strokes is climbing, it's starting to even things out.

for what motor?
@epicwinfacepie4 жыл бұрын
You don’t need the one piece, you can convert it to a 2 I’m pretty sure. The 1 piece is bad because they over heat really easily I prefer the 2
@chuckknucks53394 жыл бұрын
It's the China girl 80cc. I have a two piece but the bolts don't fit. So maybe my best bet is to get some that will. I don't see rethreading the holes. That's prob what trashed first cylinder, overheating. Thanks LA Hover and Epic for the replies
