Wtf did I just see the best headlight beam ever!? Just the right height and spread and brightness.... it's beautiful!!!!
@friendlyfire01
@friendlyfire01 4 күн бұрын
It has nice sharp lines where the beam stops, but the beam is stopping like 30 feet in front of the bike, and thats just too short. Might be adjustable at the headlight, but as it stands Id keep high beams on 24/7 because even then it wont be pointed at drivers eyes.

I own a Suzuki Skydrive Crossover here in the Philippines and it is just a charm for our roads here. Mud and Light Off-road is child's play to my scoot. Considering the fact that I am a big boy (115kg), it can take me anywhere I need to be regardless of conditions. I rode through a typhoon recently and that made me love my scoot even more.

I ride a Yamaha Xmax, it's a 300cc scooter with enough storage to get a weeks worth of groceries. It comfortably carries a pillion and still gets 65-70mpg, and can reach just over 90mph with just myself on it. I ride this bike daily, and I love spending less than $10 per tank! I've put more miles on the scooter this year than my car and dual sport combined

Cute little scooter. MPG should not be an issue. I can't imagine riding this little beauty without a stop and stretch every hour. My Goldwing was the dream bike for me. Cross country trips were a breeze. Cruise control, radar detector and sweet cushioned ride.

I have about 6000 miles on my Vitacci Clash 200 EFI which is a big wheel GY6 Chinese scooter. It's a good reliable scooter. Your squeak is likely the rubber stop on the center stand that rubs against a steel plate on the left side bottom of the belt cover. A dab of grease on it now and then will take care of it.

I used to work for a Taiwan scooter sales place back in 2009~2012, Genuine, TGB, KymCo and SYM and everything this bike has for $1200 was what you got for about ~$2000~$2700 except that SYM had their nice HD200 (actually was 177cc) that was close to $3200 but had 4 valves, ceramic coated cylinder and water cooling, and could easily do a real world 71 MPH, with a carburetor! Now I'm only 2/3rds of the way through your video, but did you mention that this has fuel injection? Because even if it hasn't, this scooter is still stomping those 2010 era, 150 CC Taiwan bikes, like the TGB R9 and the KymCo People 150, both of which have the same Chinese built GY6 engine/CVT, and both of those bikes were hard pressed to even reach 50 mph. Your bike is also much more nicely featured with the dual headlights, flat footwell and extra storage racks and space! I hope that you've GPS checked your indicated speed as most of these bikes' speedometers from that period were about 10~17% optimistic. So, if you still considering a better scooter, the Tank 200EFI is pretty close to the Vitacci 200i as a drop shipped scoot with the same features you like in this 150 cc scoot, but with fuel injection and a better more powerful engine. And for about $2100, I'll assume you're already looking at this bike.

Cheap maintaining, no gears, no traditional clutches etc. i was traveling to my work with full size suzuki dr 600, it was enduro and was comfortable bike to get to work via short cuts through the woods. yeah but it was a very capricious, short range maintains etc. until one day. i bought Yamaha BWS 50cc. 2 stroke offroad Moped. i got it cheap, i changed the variator, the belt, the rollers, new clutch, new bell. basically i restored it for very cheap. Boom cheaply maintainable bike, that was burning one and half gallon of gas and mix oil. no clutch cables to get nervous about, no gears just start and go.. The good old 2000x days...

Re: being tall on a small scooter: handlebar risers, forward footrests. I use a bisected skateboard for mine. They set my feet only slightly proud of the legshield, and I can tuck my legs in during inclement weather. Those fixes'll solve most off your tall person ergonomics, and they are very inexpensive and easy mods to install. Another is ride posture! Try to maintain a straight spine, and if you use a twist-throttle, try using a throttle-rocker. It's just a palm rest of vinyl that will save you tennis elbow like symptoms or a worsening of RSI if you also use a computer frequently.

I was a motorcycle rider back when I was in my teens. Primarily bikes under 150cc, as my father did not want me using them on the freeway. (California required 15.5 HP for freeway use. The only bike under 150cc that did that was a two stroke Yamaha 125cc twin.) I drove dual sport type bikes, Kawasaki 120 for example.) Later I did buy a BSA 250, but only got to ride it for a month or 2, as the rest of the 2 years I had it found it in the shop. (Never should have bought a BSA.) The last bike I had was when I was 24, and needed a commute bike, so I got a Honda ST90. Got hit and totaled the bike, and me almost. My wife said no more bikes. That was until I needed to be able to get to and from work during road construction in the late 1990s. I got a Honda Elite 150 scooter. It really would not do freeway speeds (even sustained 55 mph), but it was convenient. I did like the scooter and was surprised with it as a neat little commute transportation. I did need to go on the freeway though, so after a while, I moved up to a 250cc. Scooters are actually quite nice, not as fun as a full manual shift motorcycle, but nice. Were I to get one today, I would be getting the 400 cc ones and up though. Texas requires that 85 mph level speed on it's freeways. (Because of the car drivers, not assigned speed limits.)

The threads on Kickstart pinch bolt & splined shaft are probably excessive. A more suitable thread locker would be Permatex in a tube (any auto parts store) get a blister pack of semi hardening & hardening types. I'd try the semi first. As for that squeak, wd-40 is for "water displacement" Get some penetrating oil if squeak is a metal on metal situation. (Bushing on pivot bolt etc.) If it's rubber against plastic, I'd use silicone spray lube.

I own a KYMCO Agility 125. KYMCO is a Taiwanese company, but they make their small vehicles in China. Mine was made in China. It has over 8000 miles on it. MANY little screws, bolts, fasteners, and the rear fender mount have broken or fallen off. I do not trust Chines metallurgy. I love riding the scooter. I just wish that this were better made and got better fuel mileage. The suspension is rough too. I haven't decided if my next motorcycle will be a bigger scooter or conventional motorcycle. I owned a Honda Reflex 250 scooter. NOTHING BROKE on it for the first 8000 miles. Even the original front tire was in great shape. I moved to the north and sold it. Scooters are great. Nothing is better in the city.

1. The squeaking sound most probably comes from the center stand. Either the part of the pivot point or near the foot of the centerstand where it touches the frame when folded. 2. You accelerate faster when you hold the throttle and gently blip the rear brake. Lightly blip the rear brake while accelerating like you're changing gears. I do it for faster take offs, for overtaking or for adding more torque when climbing uphill. You wear out the rear brake shoe faster though.

I currently have a Kymco x-town 300i and I ride it every day. If you're looking for a fun project, you may want to look into upgrading the engine. GY6 engines have a huge aftermarket. You and your lady will benefit greatly from a highway foot peg bar. Since this is a Zuma clone the inexpensive highway bar for a Zuma 125 may fit. They are on E-bay in the $40 range. The bolts holding the floor board down need to line up with the predrilled holes on the highway bar. A much better sense of balance is achieved on the road(and for the skills test). It also protects the plastics in the case of a minor drop. See the "Sigfried" videos for his review-It is glowing.

Alternative title: "American's mind gets blown at Southeast Asian grocery getter" Jokes aside though, as somebody who rides these kinds of vehicles every single day everywhere, I'm happy that you had a good experience with it. But do consider getting Japanese brand scoots, or even better import one from SEA if you can. Scooters are an everyday fact of life here, and there's a reason 90% of us have one from brands such as Honda, Yamaha, and Suzuki instead of Chinese ones. Especially when hearing about your steering head issues that make it unstable, trust me, it's worth it to get a quality Japanese brand. I even still have a beater Honda Beat from '08 that runs like a dream with barely any maintenance other than oil changes lol. But your scoot looks like a decent one, shouldn't have too much of a problem with it.

That's a rather handsome little ride! I love my Julio, but I do wish I had a little more oomph, as well as utility features of which the Julio has none. I often contemplate installing a bore-up kit, but admit to myself that it still won't have a cargo rack, nor the underlying frame to properly support one. I've seen many Julios using beer crates, but the 3 bolts in the rear are anchored in the plastic signal mount under the fairing, not to the tube frame. I've been looking for a utility scooter for a while, like a Big Ruckus-esque ride, GY6 clone of some kind or custom skeletonized 250cc like the Vesgride, but affordable. :)

Hello!! The under seat storage is actually designed for you to put your helmet in it. I'm not sure about your scooter but it looks like it should fit, you'll have to try it. On the larger scooters you can actually put both the passenger and the driver's helmets under the seat!! I would definitely invest in a larger windshield for your scooter you'll find it really gives you a lot of protection between that and the shape of the scooter itself. the squeak might be coming from the swing arm you're also in luck because there are a lot of videos how to repair different things on a scooter you'll find them on KZbin.

8:27 CVTs are just the best they multiply engine torque so they accelerate the best. They are the best balance between performance and efficiency. Just don't get a Nissan CVT(they go bad at like 140-200k and can cost $7k to replace). But the e-CVT from Toyota is worth its weight in gold with some Gen 2 Prii going to 450-500k miles.(my 2008 has 164.5k and its still going strong). 19:06 yes even pushing my Prius(or other daily driver) to the edge of the tires because you got to live a little.

I feel compelled to rebut your positive view of a Chinese scooter. I had two, both utter rubbish. The plastics were very low quality and not robust enough for such an application. The wiring was of the smallest gauge that could theoretically carry the load. The speedos were wildly optimistic. The tires were smaller than the rim size would suggest. They used a vacuum fuel pump, which is madness for a vehicle without the av\advantage of gravity flow. If your fuel is below the engine you must have an electric fuel pump or you will exhaust the low-bidder battery before the fuel reaches the carb. Yes, carb. It is 2024 and even though the US model of a Honda Ruckus still uses a carb, it is hardly the standard. The suspension was rock hard on my 150, making it impossible to cross an expansion joint at the speed limit. There was a bogus "ABS" system which was nothing but a picture of an ABS. The locks all failed in different ways. The turn signals broke off if they touched anything. In my younger days I bought some British vehicles. I also bought some German vehicles. You'd think with that kind of heartbreaking experience I'd be wary of a Chinese product, but I was tempted by the giveaway price. Just pay for the Japanese or Taiwanese product.=

They say Japanese 150cc scooters can last up to 60,000 miles with regular maintenance. They also cost around $5,500 to get one out of the dealership. Even if a Chinese 150cc scooter only lasts 15,000 miles, you are ahead financially since you only paid $1,200 for one, which is almost one-fifth of the Japanese scooter cost. I've purchased seven Japanese motorcycles in my life ranging from 125cc to 800cc, all street bikes. I have nothing bad to say about them; they were all good. I've also owned an Italian Aprilia 250cc scooter and a Taiwanese Kymco 150cc scooters, also very good. 17 years ago I bought a 250cc Chinese touring style scooter, nothing but headaches. Every week a new problem. So, I sold it and swore that I would never buy another Chinese scooter again. But, I broke that oath a month ago. I've been without a two wheeler for over three years and I missed it. So, I decided to give the Chinese another try. Having had a bad experience in the past with a Chinese scooter, I decided to buy the absolute cheapest 150cc Chinese scooter I could find on-line. So I ordered a Vitacci Vogue 150cc for $994 including shipping charges to my door. To my surprise the metal plate that's attached to the scooter says ZNEN with ZNEN 's logo on it. The fit and finish quality between this one and the last Chinese scooter I had is the difference of night and day. There is only two things I don't like about this new scooter and that is #1 the mirrors. Absolut garbage, not adjustable. Easy fix, I ordered a pair from Amazon for $14 and they are by far much better. And #2 I don't like the fact that I have to undo 4 screws and 4 bolts to remove the the under seat storage to get to the Ideal. The Ideal was very low. Other than these two complaints I am much happier with my new Chinese scooter than my last one. Chinese have come a long ways, but there's more room for improvement. You are right, scootin' is a lot of fun.

Hello Mr. Hovering Bike Enthusiast! I have taken note that you are well versed in your knowledge of motorized bicycles and I am hoping you could help me... Totally unrelated to this video, but I figured I'd get your attention fastest this way :> My problem: I was going to buy a banana style exhaust from china, but came across a picture that had one of them cut open, revealing that the expansion chamber is nothing but a hoax, covering horrible inward extending pipes... Do you know if they are all like this? And if not, where can I find a one that actually has a functioning expansion chamber? I need an exhaust that will exit the gasses low to the ground, because I use my bike to pull a trailer and don't want it to get messy from the oil. And if at all possible, I do not want to order from the US or UK and such, because the shipping costs to Finland will make it one expensive exhaust indeed. Thank you for reading this far!

Hello, this motorcycle is sold slightly differently in Turkey. We have 125cc and the gas tank is under the seat. I was undecided and bought another model.

I have a Yamaha 2011 Zuma 125 that I ride nearly every day. I’ve looked at getting a newer one and seen plenty of these Chinese knock offs. My biggest problem is reliability. I see quite a few cheap used ones for sale online and they sit forever. I’d rather pay double or triple and not have to worry about the thing breaking down far from home

We've been riding those types of scoots here in the Philippines for ages. Try to look for the Honda ADV 160. Better performance than that tank 150.

Although this is interesting, I stay away from anything on two wheels made from Chinesium. There is a reason Japanese machines are much better quality and last much longer with less maintenance.

Most typical and ignorant comment. Japan used to be considered shit too but not now. Some Chinese bike makers have tremendously improved in the past decade..not to mention the tremendous value of a good Chinese bike.
@domenik8339

The game has totally changed on these. 10 years ago maybe they were total junk, but you could easily find a 1 or 2 thousand dollar machine that is fuel injected and a licensed Honda engine. Every year they're just getting better and better, some are supposedly as good as the Japanese machines (Lifan Kpx250)

@gmodesike I've owned 17 Japanese motorcycles and put over 50k miles on many of them. I also do all the maintenance. Cars included. I've seen Chinese bikes get rusty, fall apart, stop running, not run right, within their first few years of ownership. There is no way Chinese quality compares to Japanese. They might look cool when they are new, but they are trash.

@@mishimposble I've owned 10 and I can assure you they're virtually identical, if not better that the recent crap they've been putting out. Virtually any Chinese bike will run circles around a modern XR150L. The most ironic part of your statement if that if any of those 17 were a 90's -2010 model, they were most likely made by Chinese subcontracting. Kawasaki is still doing it today! Any Honda XR in that era is Chinese for example, and they're known to be legendarily reliable.
