@@sinu9226 yes, so there would be no point in playing that class in another play through is what I’m getting at. If I go graveborn and pic stabmancer for second skill tree there would be no point in picking the stabmancer in my next play through since I’ve already used it’s only skill tree. Not having multiple skill trees kills variety, at least imo Personally I’d rather have more variety per character instead of using another characters tree but maybe that’s just me idk

"Ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee." The quote refers to a funeral bell, as in death is coming for you except the skill allows you to revive so it now tolls for the other guy.

Gunzerker was my first class in bl2, I think its only appropriate if I choose the spell akimbo class. Spellshot multi classed with graveborn seems like it'll be pretty op

I’m caught between a spell/melee elemental build with her and stab man or a pet build. The stab graveborn spell build seems very good. It may seem weird using her with melee but between both classes spell buffs and the way they can be used to chain mad elements. Along with her numerous skills to either get health back or reduce damage, I really feel like it could work great.

Dread Covenant flavor text is based off the phrase "for whom the bell tolls". Myths indicate Death comes after the sound of a bell that only the person who Death is after can hear, so saying "it tolls for this other guy" is basically saying "Death, I know you came for me, but take him instead" referring to taking your Demi-Lich's life instead.

Probably already received an answer for this, but regarding the Dread Covenant flavor text: It is a reference to a essay by John Donne in which the first line is 'For whom does the bell toll?'. This poem was written to highlight the significance of an individual death on the world at large. Thus, the final lines of the poem suggest that one should not wonder whether the ringing of the Funeral Bell affects them. Any time the funeral bell is rung, it "Tolls for thee." Of course, this is Gearbox being very tongue in cheek with "Well no, actually this particular funeral bell tolls for my friend over here."

I appreciate that all the pet skills are in a straight line on the right side, that was one thing I thought was weird about FL4K (even though he's my favorite), was that his skills were just all over the place. I understand spreading them across the skill trees since he has three different pets but I mean you could pick *only* the pet skills in any tree and they'd be down all three lanes it was just irritating.

PET ARMY! Graveborn/Clawbringer 1. Demi Lich 2. Wyvern 3. Hydra Spell 4. Dark Hydra Kill Skill 5. Tier 6 Class skill: Morhaim's Blessing. Activating Spell summons hydra, triggering Morhaim's Blessing summoning a 2nd hydra. 2 HYDRAS AT ONCE. While Demi lich and wyvern rain hellfire….. yeah this game is gonna be fun!

5:40 you can also have a spell with 4 charges if you multi class into spell shot you can have 2 so constantly cast a spell healing 15% of your health 8× over and over again. Thats assuming it's not a dark magic spell to get even more healing.

I love how in all the Borderlands installations devs have managed to make the gameplay fun Always something unique to it , this is an Fps RPG where we get to play 2 different classes at once , that's a first As for this character , he seems like a Krieg maya mix to me , quite elemental like maya and health leech like Krieg kills

thinking of graveborn with clawbringer. two pets meaning massive boost (not to mention the hydra) and Clawbringer has some really good damage reduction and elemental boosting (like granting fire and ice elements for example) so basically doing a tanky elemental monster with an army of pets lol

Shouldn't it be (6*5)/2=15 different possible combinations of skill trees? Unless you choose to count the order in which you pick the skill trees, then that's 30.

Yeah its 15 different combinations since for example graveborn and stabbomancer is the same as stabbomancer and graveborn, still a lot of possible combinations

Well since it's based off a d&d It makes sense that you would have to reach a certain point in the story and then you'd be able to gain a pseudo-secondary class

The Graveborn will great synergy with the Spellshot, Graveborn, and Clawbringer off the top of my head. The Brr-serker and Stabomancer will probably be really good too

From what i see, Graveborn is one of the more strongest classes and got strong synergy. Like this Minion build: Graveborn + Spore Warden Spell slinging: Graveborn + Spellshot Healing health: Graveborn + Brr-Zerker

I had kinda hoped that we would be able to use 2 action skills similar to Zane, since it would have been cool to use different abilites at the same time. Like choosing a buffing skill like the reaper of bones with an active dmg spell or 2 "actives or buffs instead. Would have been another layer of fun choice and synergies, especially since we only get 2 skill trees and one will just be a statdump (aside from the companions).

One skill tree is odd, but maybe it will allow them to make most skills actually work, since they have less to focus on. In past games, some characters still had broken skills even after all updates and DLC.

I'm not a fan of how the demilitch itself looks so I hope its appearance is tied to the cosmetics, I do love me some pet builds and healing so she is definitely appealing so far but I have only seen her tree and the stabomancer so far

looks like graveborn comes with spell spam pet synergy and survivability, if this game has tvhm and uvhm like the rest of the games i can see plenty of builds including this tree with high damage spells being taken to very low cooldowns to spam for sustain

Morhaims blessings is a bad move I think. It's gonna make kill skills feel like they don't do anything because you will have them active all of the time. It's nice to get a kill then notice all of the buffs you get, not just have them active at all times. Same reason I hated playing zane

How cool would it be if you could like cycle through all the action skills easily like World of Warcraft or Elder Scrolls Online. Like have the action skills more like various abilities you can do and they go on cool down until they can be used again

First and second chosen character's trees will be equal in stats, so there is not 30 combinations, but 15. Still impressive.

The class you choose to play is locked, in the middle of the game you can pick a SECONDERY class, when you beat the game you'll be able to change your SECOND class when or whatever you want
