Yes, it was gravel and it was stunning. Video will never show how hard it was to go through that. It makes me think am I even doing the right way going on the roads I was never good at or knew how to ride on?
Today's map color - white.

Many years ago, on a XL500, I traversed Africa from N to S (did about 35.000 km) crossing the Sahara, rain forests and savannah landscapes. I had no off road experience at all and learned along the way. In the beginning (Morocco, Algeria) I saw many off road bikes overtake me. Some crashed quite badly. I never did (BAD crashes), I rode slow and careful. But along the way I got more confident and yes; gravel & sand take a lot of courage and 2nd or 3rd gear an lots of throttle. You have a magnificent motorbike, great tires and good protective gear (SG12 boots). my suggestion; trust your bike/gear 🙂 PS letting air out of motor cycle tires never made any difference for me, sand/rocks/highway/... just leave it all the same; just my experience. Maybe save yourself the effort...? Cars & 4x4 YES; it is useful because they have much softer sidewalls... I rode motorbikes, 4x4 Unimog trucks and cars across many different landscapes. I do appreciate your video's which are not made by supermen flying across the landscape at crazy speeds. Some of these other 'supermen' do end up in hospitals or worse. But viewers never see that part of the video. You show the daily slow grind in deep ruts, you being stuck underneath the bike when you fell and other normal parts of adventurous motorcycle riding. So thanks for your truthful reporting and safe travels!

Wow, what a journey you've had! Thanks for sharing! Actually today I left my air on 1.5 and did not change it for any different surface of the road- your comment just timed perfectly. Thank you for the good words, that really does mean a lot!

Akmenukai, akmenukai... Zinau, kad nepaguosiu, bet kalnuotose Prancuzijos ir Katalonijos trasu atkarpose buvo ne ka geriau. 😊 Tiesa sakant as vienas bijociau vaziuoti. Sekmes!

As a photographer, I see one, no, many subjects wherever you turn your camera. Really beautiful landscape. Perhaps I had spent a very long time on such a trip, perhaps waiting for the perfect light, the one that never comes. In many countries it is not allowed to camp outdoors, but it is necessary for a photographer to be outside when the sun rises or sets. That's when the light is most beautiful.

Seems like the perfect bike for Adventure, ok on motorway, excellent when the road gets rough!

Can't agree more with you. Maybe a little too slow for the highways, but a beast for the gravels.

@@nemoltu wonder if the special edition has different gearing than the regular PR7. My 2023 cruises pretty effortlessly/comfortably at 120kph ~5000 rpm, and that is with the Michelin knobbies!

You're doing great Nemo. Keeping it real and authentic. Looks like som beautiful landscape at the Italy TET. Like you said int he video, I also find it much better to stand and drive when the surface is sand and or stones. Feels like I have more control over the bike that way. What are you're plans ahead. Do you go for highway the rest of the TET? Keep safe :)
@nemoltu
@nemoltu 9 ай бұрын
I will do some highways, but my main goal is TET. So will try to do as much as I can TET, but if I feel it's unsafe, I will skip parts of it, like I had to skip a lot of Italian TET now, because of the storms in the mountains.

Good to know TET Italy is not all tarmac! I was surprised to see the nav unit was just a tablet, thought it was an integrated solution. Gravel is not a friendly surface to fall on, better to practice your off-pavement skills in sand.
@nemoltu
@nemoltu 9 ай бұрын
I should show a little more about that tablet. It's a pretty cool concept, just a tablet could be a better one. I'm getting better on the gravel :) You'll see.

Easier said than done :D Thank you! Sometimes I stand up for so long that my wrist doesn't want to do that anymore, especially in the steep uphills.

Hi Nemo. Where can I find tracks in .gpx? Thank you!
@nemoltu
@nemoltu 6 ай бұрын
Hey, Nick, in the description of my videos you can see the link for the maps and tracks I did ride, but if you wanna get the gpx tracks to ride yourself, just google TransEurotrail.org, and there you will find the same tracks I was trying to follow. Hope that helps. Chears!

Do you ever do wild camping in europe? Or is it to strict with the law?
@nemoltu
@nemoltu 9 ай бұрын
Everywhere west of Lithuania, wild camping is illegal, even some riders do that. But I need electricity, so I kind of don't have a choice anyway. But yes, you can get in trouble, and some countries a huge trouble.
