Did you have any previous knowledge in coding? Or did you do a boot camp from complete beginner and now have a job? Just curious 😊
@staticsturk2 жыл бұрын
@@KingOfHearts945 Sorry for the delayed response. I had zero experience at the age of 30 going into the bootcamp and I only throw the age in there because it's truly never too late to learn. Even had a few classmates in their late 40s/ early 50s. The bootcamp I ended up going to is named Tech Elevator and even though I'm grateful for the experience, I suggest doing research on careerkarma to compare bootcamps if this a possible interest. The random Engineers and friend in the field I spoke to before making the decision were transparent with their income and potential for growth which helped me make my decision, so hopefully doing the same helps others out. My wage from my previous job was 50k after 4 years there and my 1st job out of bootcamp which is currently at month 6 as a software engineer is 60k flat or 80k if I put 2 hours of overtime in a day. I won't lie the bootcamp was difficult since it's only 14 weeks and they even recommended not working during the program since it would be difficult to keep up. One of the hardest parts was breaking out of my comfort zone though to apply myself while continuing believe I made the right choice. I don't regret one bit of the decision and @GRAVEMIND has a great channel that will help you stay the course in whatever your future endeavors may be. If there are any other questions then feel free to reach out.
